VvvKkktchm Posted November 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2017 When both travelers are Platinum, do you get double the VIFP benefits? Like two gifts, two bottles of water, two times the free laundry, two times but one get one casino tourney, two sweets plates, etc?? Curious as I’ve been platinum our last two cruises and my husband will be platinum on our upcoming cruise. Thanks for any info Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Thanks for any info Sent from my iPhone using Forums Most of the time yes. other times limited. Only one sweet plate with 4 chocolate covered strawberries to chocolate delights and two cookie type treats. Last cruise we only received four chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate delights .Sometimes only one gift will be allowed , depending on how many Platinum's are on the ship. The laundry can be limited as well. With Carnival the longer you cruise the less respect you are shown this being stated from two Diamond members. Not a problem with me ,but you did ask :). SadieN Posted November 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2017 If you travel with a Platinum or Diamond who has a different last name you might get double the food plates. Not sure which ships BoDidly is sailing on but we have been shown the same respect (can’t imagine getting any more) than what we’ve always received. Must be that West Coast Cruising is truly different. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Micahs Grandad Posted November 9, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2017 One choc delight but strawberries getting to the point not worth eating so who needs or want a second one. Only time I have heard of limited laundry was one cruise with huge numbers of P and D

Sent from my iPhone using Forums That's us, my "significant other" has a different last name than mine, so the plate offering has always been a single, as far as I can recall...but all other items mentioned have been doubled, I suppose we've managed to avoid the ships BoDidly has been on... Only time I have heard of limited laundry was one cruise with huge numbers of P and D I agree. I hate to waste food and feel guilty throwing away the chocolate delight and strawberries, but that is what usually happens. I wish Carnival would allow us to opt out if we choose or provide an alternative as opposed to wasting food. I'm not complaining about the platinum gifts, and I do appreciate the sentiment, but I'm just not a big fan of chocolate and sweets. Especially if the casino sends cookies and others sweets to the cabin during the cruise. It's just too much sugar for a short period of time. I'd prefer salty snacks which are in much shorter supply on the ships.

They still offer large choc covered strawberries for sale so they have them but give away rather pathetic looking berries to their good customers. Would be better to let us sub something else instead of tossing what they give us.
dmdiver Posted November 9, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 9, 2017 We've only done one platinum sailing, but both of us received a gift & water. We only had laundry done once, so not sure on that one. Only got 1 plate of strawberries and didn't eat them all. Seems they came in the evening and we were so full from dinner. I think there was no room to put them in the fridge. BeachLoverstoo Posted November 9, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 9, 2017 One plate of sweets is plenty, so we share the second one with a neighbor. The couple next to us was one cruise away from Platinum and were delighted to see what we got - so we gave them one plate, but we did not share our Bluetooth speakers! No limits on laundry. Most of the time those those chocolate treats arrive right before dinner on elegant night. Who would a thunk :D
evandbob Posted November 9, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 9, 2017 On my last cruise, which was a casino fare, we got so much stuff every night from the casino (including 3 different plates of strawberries -ugh, 2 boxes of cookies, yay), that I didn't realize I didn't get the Diamond gift. Oh well, I'm cruising again in December and I'll see what they have then. I usually have more use from the casino gifts, like Carnival Players towels similar to the serenity ones, a duffel bag, a sturdy shoulder bag, and last cruise was a furry comforter, so half the time I give the past guest gift to someone at my dinner table who might enjoy it more than me. Only time I have heard of limited laundry was one cruise with huge numbers of P and D On the Miracle Journey Cruise to Alaska Laundry was not reduced. As a matter of fact we’ve never gotten it returned so quickly. There were almost 200 Diamond and over 800 Platinum. Suites also get one free bag. Maybe it was fast because only three nights had tablecloths to be washed. IIRC the Dream had a lot of Platinum on one of its first cruises (it was unlimited then) so they limited everyone to three bags.
