What is the first thing you do?

Get a drink and head to the lido deck!

We we usually go straight to the pasta bar for lunch. It’s always empty there. Then we walk around the ship. If the kids are cruising with us we hang out near the sports area for a bit, get some ice cream, just wander and then head to muster drill. After that we enjoy the sail away deck party.

 

If the kids weren’t lucky enough to join us and stayed back in the snow....it goes a little differently. We still head to pasta bar....then do a quick tour of the ship. As soon as our room is ready we head in for “alone time”.... ummm, err a nap! ;p:')

Every single cruise we pack our carry on with bathing suits. As soon as we are onboard we go straight to the pool and relax. We are usually the only ones there, with people walking by saying, that's a great idea wish I had my bathing suit! We will eat at some point, but it might be a go and grab food and bring back to the pool.

Usually it's straight to Lido for food & drinks. Last cruise we hung in the lobby a bit because the boyfriend needed the machine to load his cash account... Lido for food was next.

Buy a Drink of the Day. I don't care how froufrou it is. Red, orange, yellow, blue.. whatever. I know it'll have an umbrella in it. Take a selfie. Get a Guy's. I'm in vacation mode.

Go straight to our cabin (we always get FTTF) to set our stuff down and then go eat.

 

Same. Beat the hoard to our room, peek into the open doors of the other staterooms nearby (research) and head to lido deck eatery/ies of our choosing.

Grab a drink, unload carry ons if we can, and grab something to eat. From there we explore the ship till about 3 then hope our luggage has arrived to unpack before muster drill.

Not of fan of being where everyone else is, so we usually unpack, iron a few items and then go eat when the rush subsides. We also choose the less busy lunch venues. Then we scope out the ship and head to muster. If there is time we will rest a bit.

Go to cabin, drop off and unpack carryon. Check Funtimes. Head to lido for froyo, DOD, stroll around the ship if I've never been on it before.

Go to MDR to consult with staff about food allergies and requirements

After being cooped up in the waiting room to get on the ship, I head for the smoking area to have my needed cigarette.

We get rid of a few things we don't need to carry around on the ship in the cabin's safe, and then we do some exploring. It's fun to just get an idea of the ship. This cruise will be leaving from Galveston, and there's every chance that it might be cold there the day we sail. So, in that case, we start an exploration of the inside of the ship.

We used to explore. Now the first thing we do is go have lunch and relax. As we went on more cruises the exploring got less exciting.
