Giorgi-one Posted January 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2018 From Deck plans I am guessing lifeboats will be on Deck 6. Does that mean that these balcony cabins have an obstructed view. Edge Veranda cabins on Deck 6 are lowest priced but I did not see obstructed view designation. Thanks.
Kamloops50 Posted January 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2018 They probably are partially obstructed. Your of the view down to the ocean is partially blocked.
Rare ghstudio Posted January 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2018 I guess you missed that Lisa, in an effort to reduce costs and expenses, eliminated lifeboats on the Edge ships. It was a tough call because some in HQ focused on revenue vs expense and suggested that they could treat lifeboats the same way they handle the Alcoves on the latest S-class ships....charge a daily fee to reserve a seat, just in case they are needed. Just to be clear, your comments are only applicable to non-suite guests. Life boats for suite guests are available at no charge through Michael's Club. Life jackets for all passengers are still provided at no charge. Life rafts for non-suite guests are available at no charge on the Promenade deck. Rare hcat Posted January 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2018 https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1095 OP may want to post on the dedicated Edge threads...alot of folks there know quite a bit about the layouts I assume llfeboats will work as a sep function from the tenders at base of Magic Carpet.,.
