chprose Posted April 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2018 We are trying to decide whether to have the 4 of us in a Grand Suite ($1,290 more) or do our normal arrangement with the adults in a balcony with the kids across the hall in an inside stateroom. We'll be on the Carnival Breeze. Any comments or suggestions??? Thanks!
joepeka Posted April 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Personally, even though we've stayed in GS's several times and love them, with four people I would stick with the balcony/inside combination for the additional bathroom as well as privacy. :)
trvlgirlmq Posted April 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2018 If your kids don't mind sharing a fold out sofa then splurge away! If everyone likes their own sleeping space then get the 2 cabins.
VaTech8912 Posted April 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2018 I would choose 2 rooms. Love having extra space and $ to spend.
A&Jfamily Posted April 24, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Balcony and inside. SO nice to have 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. Grand Suite is SO not worth it with 4.
h_blond2 Posted April 24, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2018 I would go with the balcony and the inside cabin. $1,290 could be used on another cruise!
nutterbutter818 Posted April 24, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2018 I would also go with 2 rooms. I like having more space and privacy. Having another bathroom is a plus too.
mdsgu Posted April 24, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Two rooms, definitely.
nybumpkin Posted April 25, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 25, 2018 We did four of us (parents and two sons) in a grand suite once. Carnival gave us OBC to do it (we were switching from an aft wrap and next-door aft balcony), but I sure wouldn't pay extra to make that switch. luckymbt Posted April 25, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 25, 2018 I can only agree with the previous posts. We have 2 daughters and have always enjoyed the 2 rooms. The extra bathroom is fabulous and not that I let my gals stay out late, they always had to be in by the time the Teen programs ended, but they loved sleeping in a little late , in the dark interior room. My husband is an early riser(and kinda noisy) when he is up....everyone is up. Our next cruise we have balcony rooms that adjoin in the interior like hotel rooms often do. We were lucky to get a special that made the extra balcony room , cheaper than getting them an interior room. The purser's desk will gladly give you additional key cards so that they may access your balcony room and you can access their room.
chprose Posted April 25, 2018 Author #11 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Thank you all! Much easier when there is an overwhelming consensus! ;p;p
disneylover89 Posted April 25, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 25, 2018 I am going to disagree with the crowd. My kids love sitting on the balcony looking at the ocean. They would be in my room the majority of the time other than showering and sleeping and 4 in a regular balcony room hanging out is way too small. A GS balcony is 85 sq ft and a reg balcony in 35 sq ft. I would go for the grand suite.
