Sun drenched deals

We booked the exclusive Captain's Circle offer of Sun Drenched Deals.

It was supposed to include specialty dining.

I am not seeing it anywhere.

Also, when we got the Princess Confirmation, forwarded to us after booking with a TA, it shows a $100.00 OBC. But this is NOT showing anywhere else.

This is really disappointing.

Princess should be doing better than this.

I would love to see the OBC, and that specialty dining too, show up when we are onboard. (which I hear is a possibility)

But, we shouldn't have to be sitting here not knowing if we are going to get our perks or not.

This is a problem.

: (

Go to your Travel Summary for your sailing and then Print Summary. You should be able to see those perks listed there on the pages that populate.

Mine dinner is listed as Restaurant Cover charge $29 under Special Services.

The OBC is listed underneath Invoice as OBC Promotion.

Hhhhmmm???

I did pull up the Travel Summary, but I don't see anything listed.

Only those coupon books.

I don't see anything that says 'invoice'?

It has -

Travel Summary

Travel Agent info

Passenger(s) info

Summary - Sailing, Cabin, Dining, etc

Flights

Itinerary

Taxes Fees and Port Charges

Pre-Reservations

Special Services. (nothing but coupon books here)

And all of the fine print special notices.

I think it just depends upon your sailing. The cruise we booked still has some very prime locations left and only has 6 months to sell. Yours may be far more popular and therefore Princess has less of a sense of urgency to move cabins. You just have to keep watching the fares so you know when you are in actuality getting a good price. You can't go by Princess's marketing and their ongoing promotions.

Thank you for that info. I'll keep watching but the current sale ends September 24th. :(

My brother and SIL were going to join my dad and I on this cruise but with the non refundable deposit with Sun Drenched, they decided against it. Too bad. If they do have another sale with a refundable deposit, they will book it if they haven't booked something else already.

I was able to book the Sun Drenched Deal with a refundable deposit. The fare was only $70 more per person but no OBC.

When I decided that I wanted to keep this cruise, I refared at the current, non refundable promotion.

How were you able to do this? It clearly states the deposit is non refundable. Maybe I have lots more to learn. :o

PS: I did look at the Print Travel Summary... and printed it.

Do not see anything like that example above???

Thanks for posting that, though!!!!

The exclusive offer, which we still have the flyer sitting here, also throws in a specialty dining.

We might try to call Princess again... (have a TA that seems to be 'busy')

And, we will definitely show up onboard with that initial confirmation, and this flyer!!!!!

Definitely call again as it should be on there and your TA should be able to get proof for you.

I showed up for one cruise with all my printouts and had a heck of a time getting the ship to give me what I had. Even though I had proof, the ship wasn't willing to just go off that. I had to go to the Captain's Circle Host, the concierge that was in the suite lounge (Regal) and customer relations. They in turn had to go to Corporate. It was annoying as heck for them not to be able to just give me what I had in writing from them!

I saw someone on CC post that they were able to book without the current promotion. So, I called and asked and was able to do it too.

Zhexela,

We paid $1739 per person for an BE balcony , for a 10 night FEBRUARY departure, with $60 OBC. The TA we used also rebates 10% of the fare (less taxes and port charges) if booking and final payment is made using a certain (Major) credit card. The refund will be around $300, so that brings it down to $1589 per person. Add in additional $100 shareholder OBC and it's not such a bad deal for a 10 night February cruise.

Princess' "Sun Drenched Deal" was well over $1800 per person for the same cabin category, dates and ship.

You got a good deal also, but yours is a November sailing, so not really comparable.

Hello, TriumphGuy!

Thank you for sharing this information with me and with all of us.

I booked our cruise in November to celebrate a personal holiday and to also combine that with the Thanksgiving holiday. We were "upgraded" today from a guaranteed BF, upper decks, forward of the ship, to A639, which is on the Aloha deck, aft. We did enjoy our balcony on the forward Lido deck last year and its proximity to some of the action. I am a little uncertain whether we should accept the upgrade to the Aloha deck mainly because we generally prefer the upper decks, in this case... On the other hand, I am also worried about possible noise on either the Lido or the Riviera deck, both of which are still an option if we decide not to accept the upgrade offer. This will be our 3rd cruise altogether, and our 2nd cruise on Princess. I appreciate your feedback on this, if you would like to share it with me :)

Thank you~Z

Z,

What ship are you on? If it is the Crown. I believe the layout is the same or very similar to the Grand, which we have been on. (Same class ship) We always try to book near the very stern, and we like to be on the top decks. Our February cruise we'll be on Riviera Deck last cabin starboard. On the Crown, looking at the deck plan layout, A639 (Aloha deck 12) would not be beneath any public areas that I can see. Riviera deck 14 is above Aloha and looks to be all cabins, no public areas except for the Terrace Pool on the stern. I don't think you'll have a problem with noise.

The nice thing is you'll be two decks down from Horizon Court, easy walk to the stairwell or elevator from A639. And a short walk up one flight to the Terrace Pool.

Hope this helps, have fun and enjoy your cruise!

Hello,TriumphGuy!

Yes, we are on the Crown. Thank you very much for your responses! We are staying with A639.

Have a fabulous time on your cruise as well!

Thanks,
