Carnival Fantasy Missing person

All the news seems old. Would like to hear from passengers onboard. Are they still making onboard announcements, are pictures posted, is it evident there is an active search still going on? Are search dogs onboard? Have they said cameras seem to have ruled out this Autistic young man went overboard?

I was surprised at the amount of cameras all on the Victory. I had never noticed before on a ship that every single hallway and public space had a camera. Only ones I had really seen before were the ones looking down the side of the ship and in the casino.

This is our  cousin and although there are videos on the decks (not seen on them), there are apparently no videos in the halls due to the age of the ship. Luke is a sweet young man traveling with an assistant who apparently got out up to go to the bathroom and disappeared. This is beyond heartbreaking. I would love to find out he is hiding on the ship.

I am onboard this ship, and there haven’t been any additional announcements about it. The pictures are still posted at all the elevators at every deck though. It’s really strange, how they have kept it quiet for the most part. And honestly, I just got the 24-hour Internet package to be able to go online, and this thread and articles from online news sites have given me more info than we’ve gotten from the ship directors.

The passenger is still missing. You get the sense that everyone has given up hope since it's been 2 days since he went missing. They have his picture all over the ship. The Yucatan Police brought dogs to see if they could track his scent but they were unsuccessful. It's sad. The guy was 22 years old and autistic. There are some rumors going around but I dont feel comfortable since I'm not sure if they are true. I only want to post what I know for sure. The ship hasn't made anymore announcements. To be honest... there really isnt much they can announce to us unless they were to miraculously find him somewhere.

Also, the Yucatan dogs left with the Yucatan Police. Today we were in Cozumel and I did not notice any attempt to search for the passenger. Unless they did it while we were in port but I was only in port for an hour since it was rainy and windy in Cozumel. So I doubt they could have searched the whole ship within that time.

 

Tomorrow we will have our last sea day before we will be back in Port Mobile. I'm sure the US coast guard is going to do their own search when we get back to the states.

Also, are passengers looking? I know you are limited to where all you can look but any where you are allowed to please do. 

We, here, are hoping he is justed locked in somewhere. 

We are unclear about most details but since there doesn't seem to be reports of any video confirming the worst then we are hopeful.  

 

I will ask that If you are praying people, we kindly ask that you pray he is found safe and soon. 

Also, the others there in the same group, are so scared and overwhelmed.  Plus they are caring for the rest who also suffer from disabilities.  Any kind word or offer to pray with them will be greatly appreciated by ALL.  Thank you.

We are concerned friends of the foundation where he lives here in GA.  There are a lot of very worried and concerned people here.  Worried for the entire group and what they are going through.

That's understandable. I asked because I wanted to be respectful and didnt want to share or post unless it was ok with the family or organization.

Please, if possible circulate pictures to other passengers electronically.  One reason folks are not using his name on social media etc is due to concern for the other residents both here in Georgia and there on the cruise.  

In other words, they may not all realize what is going on so we don't want to upset folks.  But at this point finding him is the most important thing.

I just heard about this on our local news a few minutes ago.
