Will be on the Regal in a suite...do we need to make reservations for the Complimentary Embarkation Speciality Restaurant Dinner before our cruise?  If so, does the system know we will be in a suite and not charge us? Thanks.

Also, you can make a reservation for any specialty restaurant any night. It doesn’t have to be embarkation day.

As said, only passengers booked in Club Class can eat in the Club Class dining area. You always have the option of dining with them in a non-Club Class dining room.

Can't make it pre cruise.

Just make your res onboard.

Concierge Lounge Riviera Deck 14 mid aft.

I've found that on ships without a Concierge Lounge it's really easy to just stop by the Crown Grill and speak to the maître d' or whomever is standing at the podium and make my reservation there. Never had a line or a delay, even on embarkation day. As others have noted, getting through to the DINE line can really be hit or miss on embarkation day.

Pam, have you always been able to make your included speciality dining reservation on a different day?  I know it states that the benefit is for the embarkation day and it has been reported that it can sometimes be a different day.  Would you say that it is an almost certainty that it does not need to be the first day?

Thanks

No it is not a GTY that one can change to a different night...........

2 cruises we have had to use it on embarkation evening or lose it.

As far as the embarkation night specialty dinner reservation, we found once we boarded the ship we went direct to the club class dining for lunch and the host took care of our dinner reservation in the specialty restaurant, very simple.

This is a great way to make the res with the Club Class Head Waiter.

Will second your comment.  We've been in suites 8 times and only once were we allowed to move it from embarkation evening, and that when we boarded the Star in Whittier (late departure time) and the specialty restaurants were closed the first night.  We've asked and every time we were told the same thing - use it the first night or lose it.

Great advice. Especially when most of the fleet is missing a concierge lounge.

We just disembarked from the Royal on Saturday.  I went to the Crown Grill and asked if we could change our free embarkation day dinner to a different day because I’m usually a little seasick the first few days.  They let us change the date, but we had to take whatever day and time they had reservations still available.
