JasperCruiser Posted January 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2019 I’m wondering if anyone, particularly those that still use brick and mortar travel agencies, knows if Carnival still prints those big cruise books that’s details iteneraries, deck plans, and so forth. I know the information is all online but I’m cruising with some older family members that are new to cruising in general and would appreciate flipping through printed material vs looking online.
ABQrobin Posted January 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2019 Nope. Our last cruise they didn't even print out Fun Times for the rooms. If you needed a printed copy you could get one down by Guest Services or Shore Excursion desk, otherwise everything is on the APP or on TV guide.
Cruiser_1977 Posted January 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2019 Not sure about the cruise books. I haven't seen one in ages. However, I just disembarked the Fantasy and the FunTimes were available in my room each evening. 4 minutes ago, ABQrobin said: Nope. bury me at sea Posted January 11, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2019 (edited) Yes. My small town brick and mortar travel agent has the Carnival Brochure for sailings through April, 2020. It includes deck plans and itineraries of all ships. Mine is well worn. Edited January 11, 2019 by bury me at sea
BoDidly Posted January 11, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2019 (edited) Fun Times ,It all depends on the class of ship. Some do not have the current Fun Times features such as on the TV or App info. Edited January 11, 2019 by BoDidly
Rare MistyRo76 Posted January 11, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2019 I used to love getting the new Carnival brochure book in the mail! Back in the day when you got to do the "doc dance" when your cruise documents showed up in the mail!

durangokid Posted January 11, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 11, 2019 We go to a "cruise show" put on by a large travel agency in our area every January and pick up brochures for many different cruise lines. Lets me daydream during the cold dreary winter months.

JasperCruiser Posted January 11, 2019 Author #11 Share Posted January 11, 2019 Thanks for the replies. I'm going to call around to a few agencies near me and see if they stock them.

Rare jimbo5544 Posted January 12, 2019 #13 Share Posted January 12, 2019 They stopped producing them for a while and now they do produce a large book again.
MikeMSD Posted January 12, 2019 #14 Share Posted January 12, 2019 (edited) Yes, they do make the book still. Your local travel agency should have copies. If not, they should be able to order them from Carnival. I can also confirm that the one that says "through April 2020" is the most current.
