ciship Posted April 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2019 Do we have the option of carrying on all our luggage ourselves and then carrying them off as well at the end of the cruise? I can't remember if they still allow this?
Rare Essiesmom Posted April 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2019 If it will fit through the security scanner, you can carry it on. If you can handle it without assistance, possibly having to use the stairs, you can carry it all off. EM
riffatsea Posted April 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2019 Of course you can always carry your things on and off the ship!! We always do that! Don't worry about it fitting through the scanners as going the long way everything will fit. You DO have to be able to handle the luggage yourself without any help! n6uqqq Posted April 11, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2019 That's all I ever do. You should see some videos of how luggage is handled in the ports!
evandbob Posted April 11, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2019 (edited) Oh darn! I thought "self carry luggage" was a new robot thingie that guided my bag onto the ship for me. Plug in the location, start the gps, and the motor spins the wheels right to my cabin. Now that I see how others answered, yes, I carry on and carry off my one piece of luggage 95% of my cruises. Alaska and the Med were the exceptions. I'm planning to do a 15 day TA on NCL with 4 extra days in Barcelona using just my 21" Delsey. coevan Posted April 11, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2019 They already have Bluetooth luggage that follows you in the airport. However, I heard TSA might ban them because of battery concerns.
