Ocean view on deck 1 or Fully Obstructed view on 4

On the Westerdam, if you had the choice of an ocean view on the first deck or a fully obstructed view on deck 4, what would you choose?

Deck 1.  I enjoyed leaving the drapes open at night and seeing the reflection of the bioluminescence on the cabin ceiling.  EM

Deck 4. I prefer higher up, and the floor-to-ceiling windows, and not having the head of the bed under the window.

Same price?  Oceanview on deck 1.

Definitely deck one!!  Larger (slightly) cabin, and clear view of the sea instead of a lifeboat view! No contest!!

Oceanview Deck 1 - much nicer!  I don't spend $$ to cruise to have crap obstructing my view - I want to see the ocean, with nothing in the way.

How much time do you spend kneeling on the bed looking out the small window? If I don't have a veranda I get out of my room when I want to watch the ocean.

The windows in OV cabins are quite large. I never kneel on the bed and the view is great. Everyone perceives things differently I guess. If I’m not springing for an SS suite or above, I actually prefer OV to a regular verandah cabin or  Vista “suite”. Those small balconies make me feel far from the water when in the cabin and the balcony is so small ....
