We booked a cruise out of Miami on Feb 3 want to fly the day before but having issues finding hotels as the super bowl is in Miami that day. Any suggestions?

Hotel rooms rates are more then the cruise YIKES!

Looks like you will be flying in the morning of your cruise.

At seven months out everything in the popular pre cruise areas is long booked. The few with availability are as expected in the price-gouging stratosphere: $600 for an airport area fleabag (Comfort Suites Miami Springs) or an astounding $943 for the only decent port area hotel with apparent availability (the YVE).

The only non-heart-attack priced national chain in Miami I found was the Motel 6 just west of MIA for $189. Just charging double for what that date usually gets rather than quintuple. And a surprising number of rooms available for Feb 2;  I guess even the dregs of the wannabe hangers-on that invade every Super Bowl city wouldn't stoop to Motel 6 😁

It is often suggested to those who want to get at least to the south Florida area a day in advance to be safe but cannot find an affordable hotel to fly into a more distant airport (West Palm Beach, or Ft Myers, or even Sarasota) and drive a one-way car rental to Miami in the morning. But having checked into that for SB-LIV weekend on another thread vehicle availability is scarce and drop-off fees of course much higher than normal. Not to mention how busy the return counters will be that Monday.

Fly in a day early and land in either Fort Myers, West Palm Beach, or even Orlando. Get a good nights sleep, get up real early and make the drive down to Miami. Drop off the rental at the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center and if you rent from either Alamo, National, Enterprise, Dollar,or Thifty hop on the free shuttle for the short fifteen minute ride to the Port Of Miami. At the conclusion of your cruise either do the trip in the opposite direction or if possible make arrangements for your return flight from either Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Hotel prices are super crazy for Super Bowl weekend!

Fly into Orlando and stay there. Rent a car one way - the drive to Miami takes about 3.5-4 hours; get an early start the morning of your cruise and you can return the car and be on the ship by noon.
