If anyone is looking for a coupon for a Royal Caribbean cruise I saw one on Ebay.com its for $50.00 US dollars or $64.00 Canadian Dollars. Here is a link to the coupon if you would like to bid on it seems like a good deal. How cheap can a person get? It is a free friend coupon and given out on here' date=' [b']for free[/b], all the time to the first who posts. Now they sell them. Tacky!

My first thought is since it's a new poster they are trying to self promote their own ebay item. :mad: I cringe every time I see people bidding on coupons. I have sent my Crown & Anchor coupon books and even my passport savings book to someone that could use it for FREE!! Hope you wore your flame proof suit!!

 

Note date they joined cruise critic, TODAY!! Auction just started when he posted, hummmm.

I joined today because I read an article on MSN about someone's trip being ruined and it mentioned this website. I gave away one of those coupons to a person on this board about a year ago. He never even said so much as thank you. Personally, if someone else would rather sell than give it away, that's his choice. More power to em

What are these coupons? I had to sound dumb but inquiring minds want to know. LOL We are in the process of booking a family reunion cruise for Sept on the Navagator of the Seas. This will be our first RCCL cruise & some of our family's first ever cruise and ways to save $$ would be nice. More to spend on boat drinks!

This board is full of generous people who actually do give their coupons away for free---perhaps after you have been a poster here for more than a few days you will notice that.

last week I recieved a freen coupon for $50 off per cabin from a nice CC . They:D wouldn't even let me pay the postage!!...PS i did send a thank you email!!

Clearly, these are perks for members, and any member should be upset by this. Why bother to build a loyalty program with RCI if anyone can buy this off of Ebay?

 

Giving friend coupons away is one thing, but to me this is theft.

Corona...You are absolutely right on! I did mail the Friends coupon to someone on the CC board, and received many thanks for it, and was happy to be able to help a fellow cruiser out. ..Helen

so how do we get the coupon from this site, for posting? I am very new here, and would love to save a few $$$> I would NEVER pay for one on e-bay- plus there is no guarentee that it is authentic. wouldn't that stink if you paid for a bogus coupon!:confused:

I gave away two Friends coupons that my family received from our cruise last year to CCers. I certainly hope they didn't end up sold on eBay. :eek:

 

To me, it's Karma. I'm hoping that someday a Friends coupon will come back home to me. :cool:

I wonder if this actually works. I have seen what cabin steward pulls out of rooms while cleaning out after passengers leave and I would think that if they come across it they would toss it. It might even be policy. I do not recall ever seeing anything left behind by a past cruiser in my room when I arrive.

 

Where can you hide something in the room where the cabin steward would not find it, yet the next passengers would? This might be good discussion.

 

Our next cruise in 4 weeks we will get the Platinum coupon book. If I can't find a good place to hide it, I bet I could fetch a buck or two more than a Gold coupon book on Ebay. ;)
