Fort Lauderdale Boarding

When I checked in for my cruise that leaves out of Fort Lauderdale, I was given a 12:00-12:30 arrival appointment with an A01 boarding zone. Does this mean we are the first to board after FTTF?

Yup.  A01 is the first boarding group.

Agreed.  Priority groups aren't really boarding groups, per se, but clarification is never a bad thing 🙂

That is check in time, not boarding time

Our appt time is 12-12:30 our zone is A06.  What do you mean? I don't understand the comment.

The appt time you mention is for check in, so everyone does not arrive at the terminal at the same time.  The boarding zone A05 really has no relation, but is the number of the zone of which you will board.  Boarding could start as early as shortly after 11 (depends on the port, timing and other factors) and proceeds with weddings, vips, Diamond, plats, FTTF then zone1 etc.

With the time you were given, don't be surprised if you pretty much walk right on the ship after checking in.  We boarded at 11:15 a.m. on our 1/26 Magic cruise.

I agree. This pretty much has been our time when we actually board the ship when we've cruised the past couple years. No real need to purchase FTTF. We've tried it in the past but to us the only nice thing is , you get in your cabin a little earlier. (we'll just drink an eat during that time if the cabin isn't ready yet,lol)

In December I had at 12pm check in time and A7 zone. They called my zone at 11:11am. I documented my embarkation day if you want to read about it.
