I have heard the Canals in England are great way to get around the country but they are not very good unless you have a boat.

The Grand Union runs from London to Birmingham. I haven't cruised that canal - yet.

As Qbay mentioned Manchester is at the southend of the Rochdale canal.

Ketchikan it is, went on a flight to Misty Sound,I snapped the photo of our ship, the Celebrity ship in the middle as we took off.
