You also have to calculate the dollars in free play , Princess Plus and OBC. For our 10 day trip in November we got a free balcony, $1,250 in free play, Plus perks and deposit back as OBC. That means I basically have a Vista suite for less than half that I would have paid without the offer

19 cruises on Princess and 19 on Carnival.  My casino play is consistent.  I get crummy offers from Princess (free interior, low $ free play) compared to Carnival (free balconies and suites, $500 to $2000 in cash).  Which explains why I have 7 free cruises booked on Carnival.  And one regularly priced cruise on Princess (no casino discounts on world cruise!). We prefer Princess but we also appreciate saving money!

Princess doesnt use cruise credits, but they may count each solo cruise as 2 cruises......which means absolutely nothing after you have 15 cruises. We have 50 Princess cruises and we used to get 100 bucks OBC for that.....however, they have watered down the benifits so that we no longer get that. We also used to get free internet, but no more.They can keep all those chocolat covered green strawberrys and crappy champaign....I just want someone,anyone to tell me what level I am and what does it mean to be there. RCCL clearly spells it out, Princess will not answer the question......and we are in the casino 4 to 10 hours everyday...

The only 2 benefits I can see (that mean anything to me) are:

 

1.  Early Embarkation/debarkation/tenders

2.  Laundry - This will come in handy on our 30 day cruise.

 

I agree, most of the other benefits aren't worth a damn.   At least on HAL you get 50% off on Specialty dining.   I wish they'd add that as one of the perks.

The benefits you refer to are elite benefits not casino benefits

If you play that much on a Princess cruise I would think you would get the same type deals we get. Most times we get free balcony, Princess plus package and between $500 to $1,500 in free play. This has been pretty consistent since the restart

Also as a casino perk, we usually get at least one Specialty dinner during the cruise.

When the host books it, you usually get IN when you want, or close to it.

So I always Wait to book specialty dining when onboard.

Yes the casino host usually comes up to us early in the cruise to offer us a specialty restaurant on the casino

We have felt the same way, but somehow Princess has gotten many people screwed up. Somewhere out there is somebody getting our comps that is getting mini suite and 1000 free play. We know this because my wife was trying to get an explanation on why the folks that sit next to us that bet 5 bucks get huge offers and we get none. The Casino guy says what do you mean?,,,,you are getting a free mini suite and 1000 free play on the next cruise. She said...uh....no, we got nothing. The guy says ...it shows right here that you are. When Annie said, no....we got nothing, he says...oh!....uh....let mecheck this out....we never heard from him again.....or any one else with Princess.

 

Any way, that is why we are switching to RCCL. They treat us well.

I usually end up with some choc covered strawberries and a few bottles of wine that I give to our room steward.    I've always gotten casino offers, but they seem to have been coming hot and heavy since the restart.   Usually I get a balcony & $500 in freeplay.   Recently it's been a balcony & $1,000 in FP along with Princess Plus.     I'm also getting better cruises (Iceland/Greenland, British Isles, Hawaii) where as usually it's the Caribbean, Alaska or Mexico.

I received my first casino offer via email this year but couldn't use it since I was on another cruise. It wasn't free but a very good deal, not much of a gambler on board.  I contacted my TA and at first he didn't see the offer until I told him it was a casino offer and then he said he could see it. Is there anywhere on the Princess website that shows these offers or do I have to wait and see if I receive another email.

Sign in to the princess website and click on Captains Circle. Click on future cruise credits and it will show casino offers and when the deadline to book is. It also shows if you have applied it to a current booking.

Can you see the free play amount on line?  I have one booked but the free play amount does not show up in my on board credit section or anywhere else for that matter.

It should be Listed on your Special Services page in your Travel Summary.

PRINT it and bring with you!  You Will Want Proof in case Casino Cage

doesn't have you listed on their Freeplay amount List. (its happened to me twice)

 

Read your Special Services list Closely as the Freeplay amount is listed with all your other perks, like deposit paid as OBC etc.

 

IF Freeplay is Not listed?

Then Call to have it Listed before you travel.  Make sure you have your Offer in front

of you when you call.  You will have to tell them your offer code Again.

 

My current issue is my Freeplay and $200 pp IS listed on the Special Services page.....

But NONE of my other perks from Princess Plus are listed. (and they are suppose to be there)

Much easier to correct these things Before you get onboard.

So I will be calling Princess casino (AGAIN) to get this corrected before our

cruise next weekend.

There is a cruise offer that is expiring for me on the 14th. I'm on the fence about it because it doesn't have princess plus. It's for a balcony up to 20 day with some free play.  I'm hoping better offers will come through after this one expires.  I am not sure that they will though, the last few haven't been so good.

That is the same offer we got recently. Not good enough without Princess Plus. We will wait for better ones like the one we are using for a 10 day Mexico cruise in November. Free balcony, Princess Plus and free play $1,000

Most of the ones that include Princess plus are for this year. I'm gonna hold on booking until later in the year. I would rather take an inside offer with Princess Plus than a balcony.

A new comp offer was added on the Princess site for me, but I haven't received an email yet with the details and itinerary. It says earned 7.26, book by 11.1 , and sail by 12.31.24. I hope it's at least a  balcony up to 20 days with Princess plus. I really want to book some vacations for next year!
