Rare notamermaid Posted September 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2020 Unfortunately, a report from a Portuguese news outlet appears to confirm that a French passenger fell ill on CroisiEurope's Vasco da Gama. He, his wife and a few more people on board have tested positive. This is the Portuguese report with video: https://tvi24.iol.pt/sociedade/ars-norte/covid-19-navio-cruzeiro-que-opera-no-douro-com-seis-casos-positivos English-speaking and German outlets have picked up the story. notamermaid
pully8 Posted September 11, 2020 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2020 https://thepointsguy.com/news/croisieurope-river-cruise-covid-outbreak/ this is another article about the outbreak. Hope all recover. It is very unfortunate but can see why people and businesses want to try. Eventually we can again travel but its not looking possible in the short term. As much as we would like to do so.

Wombat706 Posted September 14, 2020 #7 Share Posted September 14, 2020 I can't get to it either (on a computer) . The article appears for a moment then disappears but the cruise critic page top and bottom are still there but no content.

Wombat706 Posted September 16, 2020 #9 Share Posted September 16, 2020 No, but I think it may have something to do with me using cruisecritic.com.au.
Rare notamermaid Posted September 16, 2020 Author #10 Share Posted September 16, 2020 Here is a report with more details, it attracted Dutch media, probably as the passengers were mainly from Belgium and France. My phone offers me immediate translation into English, very practical! If I understand it correctly the same man was first tested negative then positive. How unfortunate. https://m.nieuwsblad.be/cnt/dmf20200911_97068986?utm_source=google notamermaid
