casino comp cruise cancelled options?

I read the hole cancellation letter. Unfortunately it said casino comp cruises were not eligible for lift and shift. I hope they change that

While Comp cruises have never been eligible for the "lift and shift" policy that moves your cruise 48 to 56 weeks forward the casino has been working with guests to move those cruises...just not as far forward.  I don't expect that to change.  What is offered to move to will continue to be at the full discretion of the casino.

I called this morning at 8:06 and was on hold for 70 minutes.  My cancelled cruise was the Harmony on November 8 (totally comped).  I had two small $ off offers last night, and a third had been added by this morning.  Those offers did not prevent me from moving to a different cruise.  The choices were (supposed to be) any sailing on the Navigator or Mariner in January or February 2021.  I chose the Mariner on January 18, but they had already filled every slot for casino offers on that sailing.  I selected another date, upgraded, and still have a tiny refund from the difference in port fees/taxes.  So call now before all of the slots are gone!

I just called Club Royale and was advised we can no longer move a casino comped sailing to any other.  My options are 125% FCC or refund.

I would try calling back and getting a different rep.

And I would call soon, since one date was already sold out at 9:40.  How many sailings on two ships for two months can there be, compared to the number of ships cancelled for November?

On the phone with them now, had a comp for 11/1 Harmony and they gave me 125% FCC for the upgrade portion and refunded the tax/fees. Only allowed me to book current offers(which are a bunch of older ships/shorter trips and only two Allure sailings/1 oasis class) because they wouldn't let me move the sailing on the Harmony to another date. Bummer because they had a ton of 2021 7-10 day oasis options from the same club royale offer earlier this year but after 6 months of  learning from covid I have a feeling they may not go back to those old offers as they are bleeding cash a lot longer than they predicted.

Thanks.  Did that and sure enough the second one allowed me to move.  Restricted to Mariner or Navigator sailing in January or February.  Seven-night Symphony to four-night Navigator is a pretty poor switch, but upgraded to JS for $46 for the two of us.  We'll be in Miami anyway for another sailing the prior week (hopefully) so might as well!

Yes I have received them but not complaining but the canceled ones were 7 night balcony. Guess I am complaining😁

I completely understand. My next casino comped cruise I know will be cancelled is 12 nights on anthem on dec 7th.   I am 99.99 sure they wont replace that with another 12 nighter.

I'm thinking those offers aren't coming back again. 6 months ago when those offers were all over the place the main objective was to get people back on ships, now they'll only be able to operate at 50% capacity among a ton of other overhead in uncharted waters I have a feeling the objective is slightly different now.

It does get to you, I have 2 7 day ones in JS that are now cancelled and hearing that they are only swapping to Jan/feb and they are getting full.  Also had one 4 day that was FCC so will wait for them to reissue that.  Might as well go cancel the others now so I can get the money I did put in back sooner seeing how they are not giving better options.

jan and feb short cruises or any feb jan cruise?

Just this week alone we received 2 separate casino comp offers.  Booked a b2b Bermuda with mine and his offers for next fall.  I think it was in september we had a couple really nice casino comp offers.  1 we booked for alaska cruise next summer that was approx $5000 sailing and a 9 night canada one that was something like 3800 or 4000 if we had to pay for it.

I think they want us in the casino spending money.

I had a b2b2b on Anthem starting Nov. 13, OV, Balcony and JS comped with casino certificates. I was told same thing as others pick a current offer in Jan. or Feb. on on Mariner or Navigator in whatever cabin cat. that offer states.  My exact cabins were available at the time, Oct. 7, on the Anthem beginning 10-30-21 for a b2b2b but no "lift and shift" for casino certificates is allowed. Since I already have the offers they want me to transfer too the agent said my certificates were basically useless. Thanks Casino Royale.

I called yesterday to reschedule two Casino freebies that were cancelled. I was basically told "tough luck", as there are no more rooms available. We will just wait to see if they extend the time frame. Each of our cruises were cancelled multiple times, one the night before we were scheduled to sail. I have faith in RCCL and hope they do the right thing by taking care of all of us. We've done nothing wrong, just spent a lot of money with them. They should step up and extend the free cruise dates. A $200 off offer is not near enough.

We had received our first casino offer which was for an inside cabin.  We paid to upgrade to a balcony on November 14th Symphony.  We have an email in asking what will be happening since everything is cancelled but haven't heard back yet, other than the automated response.

If you don't make a decision, RCCL will make it for you. 125% FCC for what you paid in upgrade fees....port fee & taxes get credited back to your c/c.

This is all so confusing. In the past six weeks or so, I've talked with 3 different casino reps and they all have had a slightly different story. The gentleman that I spoke with yesterday told me that they do not issue FCC's on comped cruises, they just do refunds. He did not seem to be the best informed agent. I would rather have the FCC, so I'm betting you having the correct answer. Thanks!

I like that you used the word "bet", ha! Actually, yesterday, I used a FCC from a comped cruise to upgrade a cabin for another comp cruise for next June......I've had five comp cruises cancelled so far this year, took some FCC's and took some refunds. I have six cruises in 2021, five are casino comps. 🙂
