Either we aren't sailing, or the ship is close to the 50-60% capacity limit set by the CDC. I think it is the former. There was only about 15% of the ship booked when I last checked it over the weekend. I know I can't account for guaranteed bookings in that availability but, when you couple this with the CDC's requirements and CCL's announcement, I think all the sailings over 7 days, at least for the first half of the year, are toast. I also have a 7 night cruise planned in the summer and it was booked to a greater capacity than the one in March, as far as what I could tell based on online cabin availability. That one does not show the same 'Currently Not Available' alert. We should be receiving an email or a statement soon. They are scrambling on all the new deployments, securing new ports of call, coming up with offers for cancellations, etc.

Nice!! We weren't really expecting ours to go either, so I am not really in the least bit disappointed. I'm just glad I hadn't made the final payment on it yet. While we await further information, we have (temporarily) stopped selling all cruises eight days and longer which call upon a U.S. port and depart January 1 through November 1, 2021. For those who are currently booked on one of these cruises, we ask for your patience to receive further information from Princess on whether your cruise is impacted. We have B2B cruises out of SF in April and will keep our fingers crossed-I actually doubt they will sail and if so, will we be allowed to stay on board for two 7 cruises? Second set, again B2B are out of Southampton in August, and wonder if we will be allowed into the UK by then. I feel more confident about Med and TA in October/November. Us old folks should have gotten our vaccine by then 🙂 I’m also on the same cruises out of San Francisco & since they are 2 separate 7 day cruises they don’t follow Princess canceling cruises 8 days or longer. The only requirement is to go through customs. The follows the CDC orders of no cruises allowed over 7 days. Tom😀
SteelMagnolia9 Posted November 11, 2020 #36 Share Posted November 11, 2020 Based upon the projected results of the U.S. presidential election, it’s unlikely there will be any cruise ships sailing from or to the U.S. in 2021.

It does state that they can shorten or lengthen the number of days allowed per each sailing but, this probably won't happen until they have a few months of data from cruises to analyze. Just my opinion but, a rather probable one.
nini Posted November 14, 2020 #39 Share Posted November 14, 2020 Sale of cruises 8 days and longer put on hold Hi everyone, As travel restrictions continue to evolve, we are doing our best to communicate the latest changes to our valued travel advisor community – that’s you! Below, you will find an important update regarding our current cruise deployment and we hope this notice will prepare you for any questions your clients may have. Princess Cruises has reviewed the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Framework for Conditional Sailing and is seeking additional clarification to fully understand the requirements. While we await further information, we have (temporarily) stopped selling all cruises eight days and longer which call upon a U.S. port and depart January 1 through November 1, 2021. For those who are currently booked on one of these cruises, we ask for your patience to receive further information from Princess Cruises on whether your cruise is impacted. Thank you for your continued support! Unfortunately, this also includes those itineraries that are longer than 7 days and "call upon a U.S. port" from January 1, 2021 through November 1, 2021 and not just those departing from a U.S. port. My first thought was what a bummer for those TA's and TP's. I hope the new vaccine is successful!
