Casino deal

So Tommy did you just get this offer out of the blue. Did you inquire about this offer and they just gave it to you. I’m guessing it cause you spend a lot of time and money in the casino. Not a big deal just wondering how you got this offer. We are light weight gamblers but still love the casino...

Hopefully we will all be sailing soon.

X has various casino partnerships, the most common is MLife (aka MGM) which has casino throughout the US and a few countries.  You could only gamble at MLife networked casinos and receive free cruises despite never gambling on an X cruise; their MLife partnership is based on a quarterly basis.  "Comps", including free cruise offers are based on your play, it doesn't matter how much you win or lose, it all comes down to your average betting amount, time spent betting and the exact game your playing (For example, Baccarat odds are nearly 50/50 and therefore you gain as much tier points as other table games).  Video poker pay tables, blackjack odds and slot payouts are all notoriously lower than land based casinos.  If anyone actually wants to beat casinos without much skill, disclaimer, never bet more than you can afford to lose, look into even money bets (red/black and/or odds/evens and/or 1-18/19-36) on a single zero roulette table which X has (or did pre-pandemic) as you nearly have a 50/50 shot and can accrue lots of tier points faster than almost all other table games.  Download a free roulette game, practice developing your system and if you stay rigid to it, you'll probably win lots of money.

Here's my offer:

I got an email on Friday and sent in my 3 choices.  We also got an email back in September  another BC comp cruise and booked July 14th out of Rome. 11 Nights.  Only had to pay port fees.  No perks included but still a great deal.

You can call them and book it right on the phone....

Booked Equinox Eastern Caribbean this morning on Blue Chip offer - didn't even think about the new "all in" drinks, etc. so didn't ask about it.  I also have a Blue Chip booked for Bermuda in July; that was an excellent offer - 2 verandah cabins and just had to pay taxes and port fees.  First time I've ever received an offer for two cabins and I jumped on it immediately.

Hi phillygirl.  I just got off the phone with a casino rep.  I mentioned the $30pp to get the perk package and was told that this is not true.

Hi. You’re right. I misstated. The $30pp/pd is the price for upgrading Always Included to Elevate. 😞

Did anyone else receive the email

I have received two of these emails in the last two weeks and booked them both. I called instead of filling out the forms. I booked a 7 day Alaska cruise for May 2021 on the Millennium and a 7 day on the Apex for Dec 2021 over New Years. I didn’t think they would let me have the second one since I had just booked the first one less than a week earlier but she said I was “on the list” and went ahead and booked it.

AI is not included in BC casino offers. I asked a few days ago when I booked an offer. However, they said that I could purchase it for $30 pp/pd.

$30 pp/pd?
doesnt sound cost effective.

(you get free bottom level drinks at the casino. i just get a FULL glass of wine and bring it to dinner.)

So I just off the phone with X BCC, they are saying that now AI is part of the casino deals which adds to the confusion.  I asked if the AI/perks are only on select sailing, the rep said AI applied to all BCC sailings at the moment and the rep said she has been sailings today where the customers received the perks.

It appeared that free drinks while playing is very common on X but is not guaranteed 100% ship/itinerary wide.  I spoke to multiple casino servers, pitbosses and the host that free drinks were not available on my Solstice Alaska cruise in 2019 although the pitboss would occasionally "comp" a free drink for a player if they've been there for a while.

I just called BCC and was told that they would include AI on my reservation if I upgrade my cabin at the casino discounted rate.
I have an E1 on the Apex for $287 (taxes and fees).  To upgrade to Concierge with AI would cost an additional $2504.
Let me think about this. Pay $287. for the cruise or pay $2815. for the cruise with AI.
Thanks but no thanks.

Lol.  I emailed BCC which in the past have been fairly responsive.  I wonder if now BCC calls are being routed to regular X reps who have little to no BCC training.  Something I notice, no mention of perks or "always included" in the BCC marketing material.

Of the big 3, RCL/X have been the least generous

1) NCL and CCL can give you comped offers which include perks; you do have to pay for the perks taxes and gratuities in advanced if specialty dining or drink package

2) NCL and CCL allow you stack the shareholder OBC

This is my second free Verandah offer since summer.    I booked a second cruise one week earlier on the Equinox in August 2021.   and now have a back to back 14 Days (Western / Eastern)  Cruising in he same cabin for under $600 in Port taxes for my wife and I.   (And fully refundable).     Great deal if China Virus allows us to go!    Be sure to call... the agents are very good and I got all set on the phone.     I am a very small gambler...  so amazed at the offer.
