Cruisesfun65 Posted December 12, 2020 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2020 I don't know if this is a Carnival question or a destination question. When you're on a cruise to Bermuda and the ship stays there 3 days, will the onboard casino be open during those 3 days???
sanmarcosman Posted December 12, 2020 #2 Share Posted December 12, 2020 Google says: Bermuda's Parliament has given the green light to cruise ships keeping their casinos open while overnighting in port on the island. Members of Parliament in Bermuda approved the Cruise Ship (Casino) Act 2013, reports the Royal Gazette newspaper. Someone may be along shortly who has cruised Carnival to Bermuda with their first hand account. Hope so.
Rare Jamman54 Posted December 13, 2020 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2020 We've done several cruises to Bermuda on Carnival which included overnights, and each night the casino opened at 9 PM. 😎

1025cruise Posted December 13, 2020 #5 Share Posted December 13, 2020 Bermuda allows the casino to open at night, if the ship purchases a license to do so. If the ship is sailing regularly to Bermuda, odds are good they will get the license. If its a one off sailing, they might not.
Bostwick girl Posted December 13, 2020 #6 Share Posted December 13, 2020 We’ve been to Bermuda twice, they sail from Port Canaveral every now and again, so not a regular cruise. Both times the ships casino opened at 9 pm.
1025cruise Posted December 13, 2020 #7 Share Posted December 13, 2020 I only point it out because while the likelihood of the casino opening is good, its not a guarantee.

Point well taken but none of the major cruise lines will allow that major cash cow, the casino, to stay closed any length of time for the price of a permit.

1025cruise Posted December 14, 2020 #10 Share Posted December 14, 2020 Well, as of my last visit, still no shops, but there was entertainment.
Djptcp Posted December 18, 2020 #11 Share Posted December 18, 2020 I'm so glad I read this thread as we have avoided Bermuda cruises thinking the casinos would be closed while in port. Good to know they are open, but we would first made sure before booking.
