MS Nieuw Statendam has been in Port Everglades for a few days now.  While 2 other ships arrived with her, both Celebrity Edge and Seabourn Odyssey both left earlier this week so now our blue hulled beauty is the only cruise ship in port.  She is scheduled to depart at 1700 (5PM Eastern time), subject to change as always.

The webcams are at:

The latest updates on departure time are on the Port Everglades schedule:

At last check the mike on the PE cam did not seem to be working so we likely won't hear the toots but at least we can watch.

Per the port schedule she’s back in again the beginning of February. On the schedule for Saturday Feb 6th.

Where do you get that schedule?  The one I have only goes out 7 days.

Hope we will be back from the hearing aid place in time to attend the sailaway!

I guess I typed that earlier, and then forgot to post it! 😃  Anyway, we are back in time.

I wonder why she has had days in port -possibly re-stocking for a trip back to European waters?  I think she is going to be doing northern cruises in the summer.

I will take a wild guess that she may be doing some drills/exercises with the CDC and/or Coast Guard to demonstrate readiness.

I think the bow may be away from the dock.

It does look like that, but when I zoom in I can see that her lines are still attached, and I haven't seen any little white trucks wandering around.  Of course they could be hidden behind her.

Having said that - her lines are going down!
