This is very good. It means they are preparing risk assessments and planning for port/medical facility/quarantine agreements required under the CSO Framework.  It also means they will be cementing protocols for sailing (finally) in preparation for approval to restart.

Independent verification can only add credibility.

This just means that Carnival doesn't want the CDC to audit their procedures, they would rather have the class society do it, since they are paying the class society.  It's really not totally independent.

The CDC doesn't have a presence in the UK, does it? It's better than nothing.

No reason they can't send USPH inspectors over, they go to shipyards in Europe all the time.

We've all seen how Carnival has fared with truly independent auditors over their environmental compliance.

There are those who would say it would be just like the CDC to send environmental auditors for a PH audit.

Cruising soon!!

November 1 if that is what you mean. July 4 is 68 days away. CCL is required to have their ships cruising from the US notified 60 days prior for their first sailings. I have not seen that happen and it is unlikely they get that paperwork don in the next week. Once you see that they don't do this, you know July is done and 1-2 more weeks until they cancel July.

Next, the CDC has no incentive to lift their CSO unless there is a court injunction. You would think if the cruise lines wanted to sail in July, they would be working with DeSantis and company to expedite the lawsuit. I don't watch tv much any more and shut the news off. However, I saw bits in the gym and they are now calling the CDC and Fauci "Mr. FlipFlop CDC". All because they are so clueless on anything to do with the pandemic and all research has proven social distancing and mask wearing did nothing. The CDC has no facts or data to prove their recommendations that shut down the country for no reason.

Why? The cruise lines know the lawsuit is a publicity stunt that will go nowhere.

Please give us your source for the research you state that proves social distancing and mask wearing did nothing.

No doubt there are QAnon sponsored articles out there, perhaps with some idiot wearing panty hose as a mask not covering nose or mouth.
