Sure. Since it's CDC rules for transportation, I get it.

It's just getting to be tiresome to keep track of it all. Worse then an Super Bowl office pool.

Here locally (San Diego), masks are pretty much going away..."For San Diego County theme parks, like the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld San Diego, and Legoland, fully vaccinated visitors will not be required to wear masks."

"Petco Park plans to reopen at full capacity on June 17. In doing so, the ballpark will not require face coverings but several health and safety policies will remain, like thorough cleaning; touchless soap, towel, and sanitizer stations; UV light handrails; and the team's current bag and outside food and drink policies. Petco Park said it will not require proof of vaccination but "strongly recommend that all fans get vaccinated."

Oh they're gone here. I haven't wore a mask since I returned from Cozumel a month ago. But I understand when I go back inside that airport on Sunday to fly to Cancun, it's going back on until I get to my hotel room.

The first time I was able to go to the grocery store without a mask, I felt free again.  I can't stand wearing the masks.  We had two flights the other day, so had to wear masks all day long.  I know many people are not bothered by masks, but there are some of us who find them hard to tolerate.  Thankfully, we could remove them to eat and drink, so we had short breaks.  I am so glad I don't have a job that requires a mask all day long.  I get claustrophobic with something covering my mouth and nose.

I don't know if this is why . . .  but I booked a casino cruise not too long ago for a free balcony.  I actually booked two making it a back-to-back.  Out of curiosity I did a mock booking in another web browser and the same room for seven days would have been thousands of dollars.  Whereas I only ended up paying about $400 (for tax and port fees), and received a substantial amount of OBC and casino free play.  I wonder if it is a combination of  folks being a bit conservative with their money right now (trying to recover financially from the impact of the pandemic) coupled with the time of year, which is generally a slow time for cruising.

You are on to something. Not just this cruise, but very often Long Beach is the cheapest cruise on the Carnival schedule and I have always wondered why. I know that I find the region the ship sails to be unappealing to me as it is often desert and I like the lush foliage and clear water of the Caribbean, but I have often wondered if there are other reasons.

The casino deals I'm getting are insane!

I booked a 12 day Iceland/Ireland/Scotland/Wales cruise.  Now we changed the booking to bring my mom so she costs $399 but when I price it normally the cost is $4931 USD. We're paying $258 per person for port fees and that's it.

Thats why I'm so eager to book this cruise because it will cost $235.48 (port fees) and I get $500 Funplay and Free Drinks for me everywhere on the ship.

I did not gamble that much on the ONE cruise I went on Carnival so they are not really getting a deal out of me (but don't tell them.)

Shouldn't be required one through the terminal and on the ship though. "outdoor areas of a conveyance"

I haven't tried sitting on the outside of a plane or taxi yet but for a ship I'd say that should be right.

Even Royal is bringing a ship back to the west coast, they haven't cruised out of CA in a long while. Navigator of the Seas will be coming in summer 2022. February is a great time to cruise the Mexican Riviera. Anytime during January through the end of April, sometimes even into may is optimal IMO. It's a great itinerary and the weather is perfect in Mexico during that time.

Actually, the Navigator starts sailing in November of this year.

Thank you for all those responses. I am always impressed with the knowledgable answers in here.

Weather is colder.. good to know. I'm in Ottawa and it sometimes gets to -22 F in the winter. so anything warmer then that is worth it 🙂

I have been following Disneyland and opening in California.

The comment about how it's the 8th ship to start is a valid point. Hopefully they will solve any issues before they get to the Panaroma.

In regards to it be right before Christmas my mom would be very upset if we were not home for Christmas which is why we aren't picking a "Christmas" cruise.

School is over on the 17th, so the plan would be to fly out and cruise the 18th to 24th. fly home and be home for Christmas.

So based on all that feedback I think I've made a good choice with that cruise as I get a good deal, it's an awesome ship, and might be a bit quieter 🙂

Oh and I'll be suntanning by the waterpark during the day, casino at night 🙂

And based on planning for when school gets out, nice vacation after, and still getting home for Christmas, I think you’ve made a wise choice.

And yes, the weather will be unpredictable temperature wise. It could easily get into the upper 80’s on shore, or drop all the way down to 65 or so. But compared to -22? You’re gonna be frying your tush off!  Lol

You should toss the doubts and look forward to the fun!!

PRETTY PLEASE 🥺 Saint Greg!!!!! That would mean the world 🌍 to us!!!!!!!! We could all pitch in a few bucks to sponsor you and your review!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!! You MUST document the Restart protocols!!!!!! Start a go fund me and I’m in!!!!

We're booked on the August 21st sailing on Panorama in a Havana Cabana ( 🤫  Don't tell DH, it's a surprise). I plan on documenting all the changes to the protocols, we've sailed this itinerary many times before, because we live only an hour away from the port and DH hates to fly. When covid hit, we were only 10 days away from Diamond, so we can't WAIT to get on board.

I have some gift cards to use, and since I’m not feely warm and fuzzy about my Royal cruise leaving out of Sydney next March, I may just book the Panorama in Dec. it’s a great price, with a Cheers deal. And it’s any easy flight for me.

My daughter is in SD, so she could pick me up and I could spend Christmas there.

I was on the Vista for 35 days in 2016, and I enjoyed the ship. I’m not worried about vaxxed or unvaxxed. I’ve been vaccinated, plus I just got over a breakthrough case.

Cheers! 🍸
