Has anyone had a room above the piano bar.

I thought we had a great location on Horizon in August, but just noticed our 3 cabins on deck 6 are over the piano bar. Has anyone had a cabin here and if so, is noise an issue?

Thanks in advance.

We never have had a cabin above the piano bar, but honestly if I liked the cabin and the deck I wouldn’t let that be a deal breaker.

You might hear some muffled sounds through the floor, but it’s not the same as having a few hundred folks directly below you. At any given time it’s usually 30 to 50 max.

Piano Bar can get hopping until the wee hours.    Really depends on the player.  Some are better then others.   IF you are on a sailing with a good player-- and gets everyone involved that will be loud with people singing etc

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't book a cabin above or below any bar / night club / casino, ect... Then again, I don't really stay out very late, but I would still hate to have to deal with noise on my long awaited for vacation.

I agree there is some risk. The first hand experience from someone above does help. Thank you all for your thoughts. If anyone has stayed in a room above the piano bar, I would love to hear your experience.

We had a cabin with an AC failure years ago and the only free room was a balcony above, but the purser warned us that noise was an issue.  We napped during the day, and at night my little kids learned SWEET CAROLINE....:-)

No, not necessarily. I imagine if a cabin was situated directly above or below the piano itself there may be some sound heard. The piano wasn't underneath us but the tables and banquette seating were and not a peep on three sailings.

you tube patrick duffy    you can see how loud his playing gets the crowd.  Bert Stratton is a highly sought after piano player too   But he is on Princess now     Carnival does have some low key players.
