I’m mean that’s nice and all that they are letting the ships dock. But are they allowing cruise passengers into Canada 🙂

Since there won't be any cruise ships sailing on those itineraries in Nov,  the question is moot. The govt gets an attaboy for reversing the ban 3 months early, but still has several months before they have to have the borders open, even with some restrictions still.

And they get time to reverse it before the next cruise season if they feel the circumstances warrant it.

Apparently the Canadian borders will open to US residents in mid/late August.   Proof of covid vaccinations will be required.  Opening for  Europe in Sept.  Same...proof of vaccination will be required.

Subject always of course, to what happens with covid in the interim.  We still have a way to go to reach the vaccination target.

Currently proof of vaccination and a negative PCR test is required for entry.  No idea if the latter requirement will be dropped or changed to an antigen test. Hope it is the latter as we plan to be entering Canada in October, and again in late November.

Careful with the wording there.  The PM said the border could open. Not that it will open.
