Mardi Gras Casino

Wow that casino is HUGE!

No wonder I got such a good casino offer for my February 2022 Mardi Gras cruise! They have to fill it with gamblers!

I do wish the non-smoking side was a bit bigger, but I’ll take it. Overall, it is a lovely casino.

And I agree with some others; how will my travel companions ever find me in there?

John Heald posted a correction video afterwards. The Non-smoking side is the bigger one!

Yeah.  I might have to up my budget from $2000 casino spending to $4000 casino spending for this one.  ha ha  I want those casino deals so I don't have to spend $6000 for a balcony.

Who looks out a window, I keep my eyes on my cards

You have more time not having cards than time with cards.  Think of the shuffling time, deck swaps, transaction time (e.g., newly seated gives card and contribution in exchange for chips, plus all those rebuys).  I usually use that time to talk with my neighbors but also look around.  I usually only look at my cards once anyway, except sometimes after drink #5.

I recall one time I really lost track of (not time), but drinks... it was probably 1 or 2 am. I kept saying "sure, I'll take another". The voice of the waiter was just background noise to me at that point! And there was absolutely no problem until the moment I decided to stand up and try to walk. That night, I kept one foot on the floor in my bed. I'm generally not a big drinker - and that just helped to drive that point home! Gravity is real.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like the smoking section is the area inside the red outline and everything else will be non-smoking correct? Anyone see any video poker machines?

I am curious too! It would make sense to divide this way

That appears to be correct based on John Heald's (Second) video.

Yup.  Makes so much more sense this way, so that the walkway that is more populated is the non-smoking section.  Plus look at that window space behind the tables.

Best news today.  I don't have to bring "throw-away clothes" for the casino anymore.  Had to throw so many clothes away or donate after a cruise due to the casino smoke.  Could never wash out that disgusting cig smell.  Exciting stuff!

I’m not sure you got it right. He said in the 2nd video that the Starboard side (right side) is non-smoking. Looking at your drawing, the Starboard side (now non-smoking) looks a lot smaller than the Port side (smoking).

Keep looking down the deck plan.  The casino stretches down further.  Non-smoking.

Port side is non-smoking and the length is double of the smoking section outlined in red

In the first 10 seconds of his Updated video says that the Starboard side is the non-smoking side and you can see where he is. In his original video he said the Starboard was smoking.

He did.  As stated above, he made a mistake when he said that.  All good.

Port side is non-smoking and the length is double of the smoking section which is  outlined in red.  Are you just pointing out that he was mixed up about starboard/port?
