NCL GREAT CRUISE COMEBACK LEAVING ALASKA AFTER THEIR FIRST POST PANDEMIC USA BASED CRUISE!

All I have to say it I have been WOWED!  NCL HAS DONE AN AMAZING JOB WITH OUR FIRST USA DEPARTURE TO ALASKA on the NCL Encore August 7-14.  We are currently leaving Alaska now to head back to Seattle.  While I never had any desire to travel to Alaska I have been wowed!   Beautiful wonderful! Can’t say enough good things!  And NcL crew and staff! BRAVA!  ❤️❤️❤️

It is no nice to hear positive things after such a long shut down.  It seems you have a great time.  How about telling us all, one or two things you liked the best about the cruise and about the ship.  We that have not cruised yet, will live through your experiences.  Thank you for your post.

I'd be interested in the disembarkation process.  With no foreign ports, were there any immigration formalities?  Thanks!

There would be no immigrations or customs processing.

 We had our meet and greet aug 8.  Pics to follow

 

 

and yes NCL went all out for our meet and greet!  DJ! Beer tasting! Hors d’oeuvres! And all of the officers.  We had a grab bag between our guests, each group got to take a swag bag made my my daughter and I up, we had a poster made for our crew and we all signed it to thank them!

How amazing it was to finally be free and safe at sea again with NCL!  Their first trip out of the USA in well over 500 days was fabulous! 
The ships was clean and spotless. The crew was thrilled to have us back on board and couldn’t do enough for us!  The excursions was so much fun!  The food was incredible! The views were amazing! After 7 or so Covid cancelled cruises this was perfection! Thank you NCL for keeping us safe and giving us an amazing cruise!

Love the Crab feed in Ketchikan, been there many times, looks like you were in the room for float plane guests.

I love samantha brown luggage!

and obviously I also like colorful luggage I can always pick it right out.  Lol

 

My daughter graduated with her masters degree in may!   Very proud of her!   
obviously I am no longer a minnievanmommie lol.  But she will always be my baby girl.

We had an incredible time!   Deepak and Klaus are wonderful people!   
I have sailed with Deepak on the escape multiple times.  It was wonderful seeing him again!

There were not many posts out there for this first cruise. I tend to avoid the posters who always write in a condescending tone.

Did you take an NCL excursion at Icy Straight?  I'm curious about meeting locations if you have any first-hand knowledge.  Sometimes excursions meet on the ship, and sometimes somewhere on land.  On my sailing in a few weeks we're in port 1-9PM.  I have a 4PM whale cruise.  With this new Wilderness Landing dock I'm just wondering if I ventured over to Adventure Landing for the first couple hours if I'd have to go back to Wilderness Landing (and possibly back onboard) to meet for the excursion.  Or maybe it's a matter of meeting the excursion over at Adventure Landing.  Or maybe the excursion will use the same dock at Wilderness Landing.

 

What was your experience like at Icy Straight?  Thanks!
