Thank you for "taking us along" on your B2B2B.  We are thinking about booking a B2B on the Odyssey in the near future and have found that the Spacious Oceanview appears to be the only type of cabin in our price range that has the same cabin number available for both cruises. 

 

How did you enjoy this cabin?  Any concerns?  We are concerned that the air conditioning may not be able to keep up with the heat from the sunlight impinging on the slanted window.  How well do the curtains work to block the sunlight?  Thanks in advance.

We did not have any concerns.  The air conditioning worked just fine and when the curtains were closed it was very dark.

Thank you for sharing your experience.  I'm trying to understand why with so many of these types of cabins with the extra space are still available compared to other categories in a similar price range.

We are scheduled to go on October 9th.  Did any of the bars allow bar seating or do you need to sit at tables?

If the bar was somewhere that was vaccinated only, you could sit there (Boleros, Casino, etc)

Apologies if you mentioned it earlier in this thread - all the Compass' mention scheduling Antigen tests.  Were PCR tests also available (required for entry into Canada)?  We're booked on B2B2B Allure in November but need to ensure PCR tests will be available at the end of the final cruise.

I had confirmed before this trip with Michael Bayley's and RCL's FB that they would be offering PCR tests for Canadian residents returning home. The answer was yes.  The Diamond Concierge on the Sept 5 cruise made the arrangements for us.  We had the PCR test Thursday afternoon for a Saturday flight.  There are more details in post #344 of the process we went through for the PCR test. 

 

We are booked on a B2B2B on Allure in November too - November 8th, 14th & 21st.  What are your B2B2B dates? We are also booked on the November 2-7 sailing of the Oasis but are thinking of switching to the Oct 31-Nov 7 sailing of the Allure instead.  I will be reaching out to RCL closer to sailing to make sure the PCR test is still offered and covered.

Thanks!  That's great to hear, as long as they continue to provide the PCR test, we'll start planning to actually go!  We're D+ as well, so hopefully we'll have a similar experience.  We are booked on Nov 14, 21 & 27, and wondering what the rules will be in November.  We're fully vaxed (both Pfizer) and would feel more comfortable if vaccination continues to be a requirement for passengers.

 

We've had 11 cruises cancelled so far (some were re-bookings of earlier cancelled cruises); our B2B Japan Celebrity cruises for Feb/Mar 2022 were just cancelled last week.  We are thinking we'll need to cancel our October Harmony B2B; that will be two more cancelled.  Usually we're looking forward and planning what to do; these days it's more wondering if we'll actually be able to go. 

 

Not sure if Canada will be changing anything as 'no cruising' is still indicated.  Unfortunately things aren't great in Alberta right now; hopefully things will improve with the new restrictions/passport that were recently (finally!) introduced.

For the most part it was no problem but I would recommend booking Northstar and iFly as soon as you board as those filled up quickly.  The shows were no issue.

They delivered paper copies of the next day's compass to the cabin every evening.  You could also get paper copies at Guest Services

I failed to mention earlier that the messaging "glitch" is  active on this ship.  We were able to iMessage each other onboard as well as people at home, even when we were were not on paid wifi.  We could not send photos, just text.

We are on Allure starting 10/31-11/27 so I hope it is the same.  It is great for keeping in touch with home.

I for the great review.  I can hardly wait until my May 2022 (only 221 days) cruise,  I do have a question do they make a mock cocktail version of the Drink of the Day?  I'm still if I will buy a drink package or not.
