Thanks for the live report so far.

Do you know if the ship is offering PCR test on the ship for travelers flying home after the cruise? If so, what is the cost?

Yes they are but only for those who need it for re-entry into their home country.  We are Canadian and require a negative PCR test to fly home on the 11th so RCL has told us they will be providing it at no cost.

Thanks. Do they require you to show your booking reservation for your flight back to Canada? I'm most lightly being using my flight pass, so might not book anything till last minute.

Not yet and they have not mentioned anything yet.  We are not disembarking and flying home until 9/11.  I had msged Michael Bayley on Facebook prior to travelling to see what the scoop was.  This is the conversation confirmed it will be covered and a PCR test.

Never been on this class of ship before and was wondering where are the best places to go to get photos taken?  We will be getting married on the ship in Oct.

I got married on a cruise ship a few years ago, and I would HIGHLY recommend doing a group photo. That's one of the only ones in my house - because it was just AMAZING having people take a whole vacation with us. It's the best memory I have of that week.

Covid test for the first switch in our B2B2B was very smooth and easy. We left our cabin at 7:35 AM.  We had to go down to deck 2 where they had an area set up for Re-entry testing. We were told yesterday that the reason we had to go down so early is that there were testing all the vaccinated B2Bers before they tested the unvaccinated kids.  They did not want to mix populations and that made perfect sense.

We checked in and they highlighted our name on a list.  We then got in line where there were probably about 20 people ahead of us.  We checked in again at another table and provided our seapass card and we were given a form with our name BC and birthday and they printed some labels which we were to provide to the person administering the test.

They had 4 people running tests.  They did a 15 second swab of each nostril and then sent us on our way.  My person was very gentle, Paul said the lady that did him was pretty aggressive.😂😂

We were back in our cabin my 8:05AM.  The test results came in at 9:08 AM and thankfully we are both negative.  The result does say I am male, so hopefully that will not be a problem tomorrow😀

I did ask about B2B protocol for the morning and they said nothing has changed.

Hi, Jess. Looks like your having an amazing time!! Being that you will be on the ship for a while, would it be possible for you to get a picture of an interior view balcony cabin?  My husband and I have always stayed in a balcony cabin, but since we are using a casino comped cruise we thought we would do something a little different this go round. We are in 9177 in March and would love to know the bed placement and if it’s on the side wall or the back wall. No one to date has had any pics of the  Odyssey Interior Virtual Balcony cabins.

We loved the JS on Odyssey. There is apparently some that do not have the separate shower/tub like ours did, and instead have another toilet with a shower/tub combo. Luckily, on the next three we have we have the ones with the separate tub & shower.

I am checking into a virtual balcony cabin today. Will have pics and a short video. Will post tomorrow on the 8/28 FB group.

Nice! We are on again in a few weeks and hope we have the same layout.

I'm on Odyssey in November.  Right now, the app shows Solarium Bistro is open for only breakfast and lunch. Is it the same for you? Or is there a dinner option as well? Thanks!!

We were able to make reservations for a dinner in Solarium Bistro for our cruise in October.

We made the reservations via the cruise planner. I never really checked the app.

@JessyCruisesSorry if you already answered this and I just didn't see it, but are they allowing you off the ship at port without having to use the cruiseline's excursions? I'll be on Odyssey next April on a Trans Atlantic and trying to get an idea of whether we can do the ports on our own or will have to use Royal's excursions if we want to get off the ship.

Today’s rules may mean nothing in 8 months, especially on a TA.
