It’s really interesting sitting down here on the end with all of the walk ups. Those are the complaints. The people that want soda. The people that want beer. Etc.

I will say this: I was sitting with a friend at a table in the Alchemy area on the Miracle. 20 steps from Alchemy where I was seated was the lobby bar. I ordered a club soda with lime and was told I'd have to go over to the lobby bar and get it. The table waiter (not a bartender) walked away saying: "This is Alchemy." He forgot to add " This is hospitality at its worst and I have a big chip of Alchemy attitude on my shoulder."  FYI, we were the only guests seated in the entire Alchemy table seating section.

Having been a hotel F and B Director before I was a GM I assure you this would not be tolerated in a 4 star, 4 diamond hotel in the states where the mantra is " If you can do it for the guest, do it." The Euro-waiter could have walked 20 steps to the lobby bar for my club soda and earned his base tip and more but chose to refuse a guest request.

How were the shrimp and grits? The lighting makes it look a little strange

I thought the same thing.  I absolutely love shrimp and grits but these look a little off.  How were they Saint Greg ?

May depend on who you deal with in the beer situation Natalya happened to have a waiter…non alchemy waiter…coming out from the room behind their bar and she had him take care of the beer order.

But the alchemy bar waiters do make alchemy drinks. LuLu is the bar waiter here. She’s really serving as a third alchemist just without the white coat.

Doan probably made more drinks for me than any alchemist on Panorama…bar waiter. The guy who made me the jack sparrow drink on Dream…bar waiter. They are kind of alchemists in training so I like to give them a shot.

There are a lot of alchemists on this ship working in other bars. I think Maria said 16. I just heard someone ask about Kat. They were were told she isn’t working in the alchemy this week. She’s in the limelight. That makes me wonder if it’s the same kat that was an alchemist on my glory cruise two years ago. If so that makes….at least 5 of my former alchemists working in other bars on this ship.

I have Angela here at the Bar Della Rosa she is my go to here.

Buzzkill...

Last time we were on a Carnival ship (Miracle, 2010) I don’t remember them keeping count of my glasses of wine...but that was ages ago. Maybe because I was buying wine by the bottle, that’s why? I’m also not a Day Drinker, at least not a good one, like you, Greg!

Enjoy the rest of your cruise. Cheers...

This is when you go to the casino, find a friendly table, and order a drink from the table servers.  When they come back and say you hit 15, as soon as they walk away someone if not more than one will offer to put your drink on their tab (expectation that you pay and/or tip, depending on if they get free drinks).
