Lower price adjustment/guarantee

So, I just submitted a lower price form, but I'm thinking we don't qualify for it....

Our cruise is 91 days away (already paid in full).  The price of our cabin dropped $100pp (using the same "casino" promo code as our original booking).  So I submitted the form, but then I read that it was only for people that book under Early Saver.  😕

I guess we'll see what happens, right??

What you can do, is if the price has dropped for a higher category, ask to be upgraded.  After final payment, usually the only ones that get a price match, in the form of OBC, are those that book early saver.

Call the casino and they might change it the way covid and low bookings are going. Doesnt hurt to call and see what they will do.

Only early saver is allowed guaranteed to price match to lower prices. Lol between my vista and first leg of breeze they have dropped about $300 .. and still dropping. I see 7 and 8 days for $300 less than I'm paying on vista alone. There are certainly good deals to be had.

Only one I can price match on is 2nd leg of breeze lol .. but got 2 price drops. And was cheap cheap cheap to begin with.

I think I'll try calling the casino today, see what they say.  I was already a good deal to begin with, plus casino 'fun play' money too....

I did look at the higher categories....we are in a premium balcony (larger cabin)...next step would be a suite...the price of the vista suite (our favorite) would be more than double what we paid for the premium balcony (and more than I have ever paid for a vista suite)...I could move to an aft balcony for about $500 less than the premium balcony, but DH hates a single/regular cabin...he likes to have a little space...

I've had cruises before where I paid in full, and still got the price reduction.  back then, I called my PVP to process the price reduction, andthey refunded the difference to my method of payment (in this case, credit card).  this was some time ago, though.  things have probably changed.

but yes, crdtrnr mentioned seeing if a higher category cabin price has dropped.  that's another good way of getting value in a price reduction.  just before covid, i had booked an interior with NCL.  a price reduction happened after final payment date.  the agent said "too bad".  so i noticed the oceanviews were now less than i paid.  i asked for the upgrade, and he talked to his supervisor, who said yes.  we not only got an oceanview, we got a Family oceanview.

My TA always handles it. She does a great job for me.

i just called...they adjusted it with no problem!!  Since it was already paid in full, they were going to refund the amount to my cc....but instead, I added the gratuities (and there was still a small amount to be refunded to my card).... 🙂

If you use a TA, they have to handle it.

That is true. I just checked my next two cruises which are in October and December. One went up $600.00 total the other almost $400.00 total. That is why I always book early, real early. I have 5 for next year and one for 2023 booked

We were in a regular 8D balcony on MG for January, before final payment.

Since better cabins are now available for less than we paid, today we were able to move to an 8F extended balcony.

Hopefully this is a good move rather than just appearing like one.  🤔

There weren’t  any 8Ds left so my PVP couldn’t give me any $$ back.

Glad to hear that it was not an issue even though it was not early saver. Never hurts to call !!
