Recent Chefs Table

Has anyone had a recent chefs table experience ?We will be on the Sunrise in Oct, and I am wondering about a new menu and the quality of the menu.Thanks for any help.

We did the Chef's Table on the Miracle (Alaskan Fare Menu). It was a great menu:

Usual small appetizers

Smoked Salmon Patte

King Crab Bisque

Lump Dungeness crab salad

Filet of Halibut 

Grilled Elk

NY Cheesecake w/ Fresh Alaskan Blueberries, and

White and Red wine (unlimited)........

 

And of course, I'm kidding. It was the same ole menu they've used for years.

However, for $75 pp, it was we'll worth it, but wouldn't do it again.

Oh man would I love that menu.I lived in AK. during a military stint.For a second there I was in heaven.I was hoping for a new menu but we will still go during our Jan.cruise.

My husband and I have done the Chefs Table twice and plan on doing it on every cruise we can get on.

It’s great food and very informative.

I did it on the Breeze about two weeks ago- it was great as always. I was so glad they offered it. Here's the menu and a couple of shots. I very much hope the Vista opens the table for my upcoming trip in December- if not I'll be fine but it would be nice.

When are reservations available?  We are booked on the Vista in January and I don’t see any dining reservations available. Is it too early?

They don't have it on the Vista yet I think. I keep watching as well. On the Vista you pass through the kitchen to get to the Chef's Table dining room and maybe due to the risk of spreading Covid to the kitchen they've not restarted? That's just a guess but maybe.

It wasn't showing on our Miracle trip either. What I did based on past experiences was I emailed the Maitre'd direct and ask him.  They have one, it just isn't showing on the website. We ended up have two Chef's Table nights on our cruise. It is still a very popular event.

Seems it was listed every night in the FunTimes for Mardi Gras. I knew it was popular but I didn't know they had it that often.

Depending on demand, they could have it once, or even several times per cruise...

Has anyone been to the Chef's table on the Mardi Gras recently? I will be sailing next month and heard it was in the room where they do the cooking classes (vs the room they created for Chef's table)?
