Victoria's 51,356 were from more than 89,000 tests. A better strike rate than NSW.

To clarify - Victoria's cases included 26,428 RATs which 5,923 were from yesterday and the remainder from other days this week. There were 24,928 positive PCR results from 89,000 tests.

Yesterday was the first day that Victorians could enter their RAT positive results on the system. This now gives a much better idea of how much Covid is in the Victorian community.

I belive NSW will now start doing the same.

Yes, the NSW RAT reporting system is due to come online sometime next week. We'll probably get a similar spike in numbers as VIC did today, as people report tests taken over the previous few days. It will certainly help to give a more accurate picture of how much Covid really is in the community as the PCR test results are lagging behind due to slow processing.
