First tier we hit gave us a interior...then an Oceanview  then free balcony.....which later ended up going to a free JS as we built up more points on the sailing. Thing is that the list for the free balcony was better than for the JS....the balcony sailings were all mostly 7 night sailings where the JS were mostly 3, 4 and5 night sailings...so kind of felt it a bit of a miss. The other thing was that many of at least the longer sailings on newer ships for the JS had no JS's available when you went to book. After some playing around I was able to finally find a 6 night sailing on Allure that worked.

There is a cash value you can trade it out for any sailing but the $1500 cash value for a JS was only worth half of what the Allure 6 night sailing in a JS was since it was listed as $1499/pp. Much more valuable to try to utilize it to it's full potential than just take the cash value to apply to any sailing of your choice.

Thanks for posting the list.  If I am understanding that correctly, only some cruises are casino cruises and those cruises are communicated to you via offers.  In other words, I can't just book any old cruise I want and get a special casino rate.

What happens if I book a cruise and it becomes one of the casino offers?  Can I get a credit for that cruise?

FWIW, I'm inclined to just get the 2500 points and see how things works out.  I have a lot of OBC on some of my upcoming cruises and might as well blow some of it on this experiment.

We are both prime so sometimes we can turn his and her offers into b2b's if the dates work out.

If you have a current sailing booked and you end receiving an offer for the same sailing you simply call the clubroyale and convert the sailing over to the casino offer and they will refund you the funds you paid to date.    I did that this summer with a cruise I booked last year for my hubby's birthday.

A lot of offers come with Freeplay - we have a couple booked that have $150 or $200 of freeplay.     Gamble with their money as well as get a free cabin for 2, cannot beat that.  Plus you still earn your C&A points (or double points during the promotion).

You are also eligible 5% discount off any cruise.     Casino rates are always different than prices you will see on royals website and it is usually a cheaper to upgrade your cabin than what you see on royals website.

here are 2 of the 4 offers we currently have available.

The tier credit cruise you earn for the 2500 points can be used on any cruise. The other special offers shown for me is for certain itineraries. If you noticed, the second offer also says $200 off any cruise. This means I can get an interior of specific cruises or $200 off any cruise. If you book a cruise and you later get an offer for that cruise you can call the Club Royale desk and apply the offer. They will transfer the money paid to OBC.

Thanks for the follow-up.  I appreciate your assistance.

Cheers

You can tap your card on more than one machine at a time and play multiple machines under the same card all at the same time. My wife will set herself up on one machine and I will take herd card and go play another machine...when she is done she will grab her card and set herself up on another and so on.

isnt the taping of cards on the newer ships with the NFC seapasses???    just off the jewel and had to insert my card, taking it out turned the card slot red, so if id have tried take it out and insert it on my GFs machine it would only be counting her play??...........

On Independence you still have to keep your card inserted so we worked mostly with my hubby card while I watched I played some as well too on mine we earned our “free” cruise and will get the tier free one in April. We booked our free cruise in Feb and at that time we will finish getting me to prime so we can get another “free” cruise and another tier cruise. Now that we have figured this out we will be cruising a lot more. Instead of going to land based casinos we will save the money and use it in the cruise to earn more free offers and cruises. We will never reach the level above prime as that we don’t have that kind of money to spend as well as the fact that I can only usually get off about 3 weeks a year.

That was the way it was on my Serenade cruise.  No way to "tap" my sea pass card.

I have left a table game to move to a different table and had to wait a bit until they recognized that I left the other table before it could recognize me at the new one.  I don't know how DW & I could use the same card at the same time.  We just got off the Oasis and I played mostly table games whenever they were open.  My total points was ~7500 for the week.  I was approached on day 2 by the casino host saying they had a new 'instant rewards' certificate policy.  He handed me a free Jr suite cert. right then and explained that, depending on points earned, it could be upgraded during the cruise to a grand suite cert with $ freeplay.  I did not make the upgrade since things (shops, casino) closed early on the last night due to a crew member medical issue (non-covid related).

We booked jr suite with the next cruise folks.

Wow I'm surprised to hear you received the free cruise offer with only 140 points.  Were you a prime member before this cruise?

I think it’s due to the pandemic. They’re doing a lot more than normal to get people on their ships. I’m getting free cruise offers every month and I barely gamble.
