Can anyone tell me about a sky Suite

Yeah, you are in trouble for future cruises. Celebrity treats you like royalty when in a suite. It’s going to be very hard to go back!😀

One thing that I wish I new on my first Sky Suite experience is that MOST of the suites are Sky suites. I thought that somehow I was in a “suite lite” kind of situation and while Celebrity was giving me the same service, I was somehow in a lesser suite and not really deserving of all the attention. I know that sounds stupid but I kind of felt that way. Celebrity didn’t make me feel that was, I did it to myself.

So enjoy the cruise and take advantage of all the suite perks!  I will be hard to go back!!

Our Butler on the Equinox and I had a conversation about how Butlers (Hosts) get assigned to suites. I do not know if what he told me is true, but he said the most experienced and highest guest rated Hosts get assigned to Sky Suites because Celebrity knows once you try a suite (usually a Sky) you are hooked and will continue to book them.  He told me that this is why it is important that he gets high post cruise ratings from guests. He also told us he prefers to be called a Butler instead of Retreat Host.

My wife and I just booked our first cruise on Celebrity (Constellation )next month and we are in a sky suite. We have lots of cruise experience but not on Celebrity. Do we wait until we are on board before making reservations in Luminae? It looks like I can request a time in the main dining room on their website but don't see anything for Luminae. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Luminae does not require, take or need reservations. On our Equinox cruise in August, the suites were at 100% capacity and we not once had to wait for a table for 9 nights. If you go when they first open there might be a slight wait. We entered usually between 6:30 and 7pm every night with no wait. The best part is you will have the same waiter for the entire cruise for all meals in the Luminae and you will be greeted by your first names by the staff.

Wow congratulations that is very exciting!! We love all the perks that come with the sky suite ! We do not have another cruise till Sept.2022 but I am already thinking of the Luminae menus!! You can find them on here by doing a search.

Things could have changed in our current post-Covid world of cruising, but Luminae may be open for lunch on embarkation day. Hours are limited (maybe 12 to 1:30?) so if you embark later you’ll miss that. It’s really great to sit down and relax after a busy morning boarding without having to go to the lido buffet.

It’s usually open on sea days for lunch, too, but not port days. They have a good burger on the menu.

If you know/meet people on board and want to invite them to have dinner with you in Luminae, talk to the manager at the podium. He or she will charge your ship account, as the host, with a reasonable fee.

The butler can arrange a party in your suite if you have friends on board, and provide shrimp or cheese platters, etc. at no cost. We had four friends join us and the butler chilled a few bottles of champagne & wine we already had, and he provided all the flutes and cleaned up after we all went to Luminae.

Enjoy! We’ve been in Sky Suites many times and they are especially nice with all the perks like Luminae which were added about 6 years ago. If you have a preference for a time and particular location to eat, you can always tell the dining room manager after dinner the first night you’ll probably be coming in at that certain time most nights. I’ve also found them very willing to give us the same quiet table every night.

One thing you may already be aware of is that Constellation has not yet been refurbished so its Sky Suites to my knowledge have not yet been redecorated with the “Revolution” decor. There is no actual “retreat” but there will be Luminae and a private suite lounge called Michael’s Club (which may have been now renamed the retreat lounge, who knows.) So some photos you see on the website about suite perks do not accurately represent what you’ll find on Constellation. Not saying it’s bad, just different.

There aren’t many Sky Suites on that ship and they are mostly clustered on Deck 6 which has some views of machinery and lifeboats from verandahs, especially the SS2 cabins.

Long before Covid, with four friends we booked a 10-day April 2021 cruise all in Sky Suites (on what was to be the refurbished Constellation) which of course didn’t happen and we shifted to the same ten day cruise for 2022. Really looking forward to cruising on Celebrity again next year!

I know the person who escorts' the suite passengers thru our local cruise terminal.  She does recognize passengers as return guests within the same season.  Often times at least one of their cruises will be in a Sky Suite.  So what @terrydtxsays makes sense to me.

I am so looking forward to being able to book a Sky Suite (in the near future).

Post Covid Luminae is open for lunch on Embarkation day, on the Eqinox in August it was 11:30 to 1. Suites guests were allowed to board anytime after 11:30am irregardless of the assigned boarding time. We arrived at the FLL terminal at 11:20 and in our Sky Suite at 11:35 and in Luminae by noon for a delicious lobster roll and glass of wine.

That info is not totally correct. All suites booked with AI get the Premium  beverage package wi-fi.  This chart doesn’t show those for either Sky or Celebrity suites.

I believe the link shows the amenities associated with each suite category.  The implication is that one would be entitled to these amenities even if they won a move up bid or booked a GTY.  There has been some speculation that perhaps this is not longer true. The attached does have a disclaimer saying to see Celebrity.com for the latest information, so perhaps it has been changed.  I just cannot imagine that anyone staying in a Royal Suite and above would not have a premium drink package.  Also they get two bottles of liquor and beer in the minibar.

As you point out , all suite categories now get the Indulge package (like a higher level AI) unless they have the special rates mentioned above.

I don't think I will get all that comes with it but I don't mind I wonder why they need my deck 6 cabin

Congrats!  Like others have said you'll love it.  We were in a Sky Suite for 3 weeks this year and it felt like home.  We were on the Edge and most of Deck 6 the hall doors were closed with "Do Not Enter - Out of Bounds" signs.  Rumor was they were Covid quarantine rooms for crew.  Again, rumor.

On Apex they were very open with saying that was what they were for - even during the Captains talk. At that point all crew who had just embarked  had to spend 14 days in quarantine on that deck.
