Flight Ease and airline points

Can you book flights using Flight Ease and use your airline points?

I know you can get your miles when you fly using Flight Ease.

Just be aware that there is no free checkin (on United anyway) when purchasing your airfare through Flight Aware. You only get it if you pay directly with the Airline. We were surprised by an extra $100 a few years ago!

I’m guessing you mean checked luggage?

Yes, checked luggage. Just check with your Airline what the policy is.

No points to book, however once booked you can upgrade to PE or Business class on the airline's website with your miles, we have done this several times. ON American we upgraded our main cabin to main cabin extra with points after final payment om 2019 for tickets to Alaska. We have an American Advantage CC and AA did not charge is for luggage on the Alaska flights because we have the account.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if HAL pays commission to travel agents on Flight Ease or pre/post cruise hotels?

According to my TA no flights, never asked about hotels because we can book direct way cheaper. I do know on Alaska cruise/tours they get commissioned on whole amount

Thanks, that is what is suspected. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did get it on hotel but I could see either way. Usually their hotel is not the cheapest but after this last trip with the new boarding process I think I would do it again.
