This bloke has an interesting view of Icon here Geoff .

Its going to be a big money spinner as they come from near and far .

More of a fish out of water story Phil, but an interesting comparison from an "outside" writer vs all of the social media guff. Full of stereotypes, and a few cultural in-jokes, but an attempt at situational comedy within a travel story.

Yes, it won't change anything. The story is more about general cruising weirdness anyway.

I like where uncle Bob first saw Icon ,he said he let out a Gordon Ramsay .

[sad face] Any hopes I had that maybe one day NZ might attract more cruise ships to its ports have been dashed, quote from article re reduced bookings for 24-25 season -

"Reasons for the drop in bookings included increased operating costs in New Zealand, higher port fees and regulatory fees from central government, difficulties around hull cleaning regulations, global competition, and concerns about access through the Red Sea, Lloyd said from the United States."

@springaussie

Can you work out if Radiance or Serenade are due for a dry dock around November next year?

I’m just thinking they might do it in Singapore.

Hi Chilli

Serenade March/April 2025

Radiance was in dry dock last month in Freeport.

Jewel is in dry dock in Brest France now.

( Limited internet up here for work on the Frazer Coast ATM)

Serenade looks to have time between Tampa Los Angeles to go to Freeport .

That shoots down my theory then .

Serenade appears in Grand Cayman October 2025.

Serenade also has regular visits booked November 2025 till April 2026 in Sant Maarten.
I can’t find Radiance in this period.

We might get Radiance then ??

For the 25-26 season ,only Anthem does one overnight in Hobart.

No Royal Caribbean ships that I can see visit Eden,Melbourne or Adelaide .it seems very odd because southern Australia is a popular destination. Certainly one of my favourite.

I doubt we will get another ship Chilli.

i realise all those ports will see little or no Royal 25/26 season.
One of them may even do a world cruise.

Or Royal selling a Vision Class Ship.

it will be easier to guess after Singapore goes on sale.

A mate down the pub said his dog overheard two cats talking about it.

Me mate asked his dog ,and the cat had a Princess Medallion hanging on its collar.

So I don’t know how credible my source is ?

I’ll try to find out what colour the cats tongue was or if it was forked.

Hey Chilli,

I wonder if this is why they have not released a deployment for Radiance and Serenade.

I heard RCCL has trademarked the names Speculation of the Seas and Innuendo of the Seas.

And here I was thinking it was the Galaxy on Orion's Belt.

I didn’t think Shanghai would take off for Royal Caribbean but here’s some Chinese propaganda.

Nice cruise terminal we could do with something like that in Sydney.
