Some one posted on the smoking sticky thread that there’s still no smoking on the Emerald so it seems like that is the case.

We have an upcoming cruise on Emerald, so I just hope no smoking!  If so, we’ll be going back to the non smoking  casinos on Celebrity ships.  I don’t think that smokers realize how much the smell of smoke adheres to their clothes and their hands and their hair.  I suppose they’re used to it.  Hopefully, smoking will be confined to Churchill’s and we can enjoy the casino.

Sky is heading across the pond on March 12, so perhaps that is the reason, a more smoke-desiring bunch of cruisers?

I am split down the middle. I wish that the casinos remained non-smoking. But Churchill’s would have to be repurposed and reimagined if it remained a non-smoking venue. It is built out for sipping Scotch/Bourbon/Whiskey, puffing stogies and watching football/football/cricket/darts. If it cannot fill that entertainment space, it might as well be torn down to the studs and rebuilt as something else. And this comes from a non-smoker.

I don't care if they start smoking again in Churchill's...isn't that the reason they have it?
But I loved the casino when it was smoke free.

Dear Princess,

 

Please please please take advantage of the opportunity you have right now to make "No Smoking inside the ship except in Churchill's" permanent.  You are never going to have a more perfect opportunity.

Spin it as a health decision, spin it as a safety decision, spin it as a environmental decision- spin it however you want. But don't let this opportunity slip away.  Let the smokers have Churchill's, let the rest of us have a smoke free environment, and be done with it.

Smoking is the only legal way you are allowed to negatively and adversely affect the health and well-being of those around you.  Please, Princess, think about that.
