Hopefully, this will not be the case. Indoor smoking is so unnecessary anywhere on a cruiseship. Do you hear us, Princess?

Better for the non smokers to have cigar & pipe smoking confined to a specific enclosed indoor area than to have the smoke and unpleasant smells swirling around outdoor public spaces.

Areas/bars aft are perfect. Wind carries the smoke away and everyone is happy. Have you ever walked by Churchill’s? The door is always opening and closing and the smoke and smell just waft right out. It is not at all pleasant for non smokers. I can’t think of anywhere on land where indoor smoking is allowed.

I enjoy having a cigar once in awhile on my cruise and the Churchill Lounge is the only place I could do that on board the ship. The outdoor smoking areas and the casino did not allow for cigar smoking. Also when I do light up I make an effort to do so in a way to try not offend others. It's time to reopen the Churchill Lounge. Do you hear us, Princess? Happy Trails 🥃

I thought that California had very strict smoking laws. I guess I am wrong.

I venture to say that the cruise ships catering to the far east clientele have indoor smoking . Edited February 9, 2022 by c-boy
mina Posted February 9, 2022 #15 Share Posted February 9, 2022 my husband smokes cigars. On recent cruises where the cigar bar was non-smoking due to COVID, you are allowed to smoke cigars in the outdoor smoking areas.

Happy Trails 🥃 Smoking is only allowed in casinos but not all casinos are smoking (trend will be towards smoke free).....otherwise Las Vegas is just as strict about smoking as California.......

RJAM3 Posted February 10, 2022 #20 Share Posted February 10, 2022 I haven’t smoked in 59 years but you certainly have the right to enjoy a smoke..especially a good cigar! The Churchill lounge should be open. That is what it is designed for.
