Queen Mary 2 is due back in New York tomorrow morning (2022-03-08)

I wanted to share a Youtube live camera that I found for those in this community.

Last time QM2 was here, the camera zoomed in and followed her.

This also has the big advantage that you can scroll back in time about 12 hours,

so you don't have to be up very early to watch live.

 

Also available on Youtube are the three Isle of Wight webcams that many are probably already

The One called NY Harbor actually follows the QM2 from Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to and under the VZ Bridge.  You can also follow many other ships from Manhattan and Cape Liberty.

 

My biggest fun when the cam actually at times zooms on to deck and see the passengers very close.

This Web Cam is the Pier 21 that the QM2 and many other dock at when visiting Halifax on cruises.

 

We enjoy watching many other web cams like this.

Follow and zooms.  Also gets views of ships at Bayonne terminal.

Good views of ships coming and going to the Manhattan terminal (including the little Queens)

The only drawback is you have to watch live,  you can't scroll back in time.

Rather interesting angle watching QM2 enter the harbor under the bridge.

I think QM2 was scheduled for a 5:00pm departure. She just called in to New York harbor traffic control that she is preparing to get underway.

Confirmed.  Now 0.9 kt on AIS.

With the late departure (delayed flights) webcam apparently isn't following but she's still a pretty sight:

The webcam stream which is the subject of this thread was following along for QM2's departure this evening. That stream can be rewound for up to 12 hours to watch her departure for those that missed it live.

Returned to New York this morning after an excellent 14 day Eastern Caribbean cruise on QM2. Manhattan looked particularly fine in the early morning sunlight. So good to be back on board again after a 2 year pause.

Dranuc, Thank you for the link, and the hint about "rewinding" the feed. I was able to watch QM2 sail majestically into NY Harbor, and do her elegant pirouette to back into the dock at Red Hook.

 

Last night, I watched her as she prepared to get underway. A giant plume of exhaust smoke indicated action was due, and at 9 pm Eastern time she sailed slowly and majestically out of the Buttermilk Channel into the main body of the harbor, and they eventually under the Verrazano Narrows bridge and out of sight.

 

QM2 back in New York was a beautiful sight. Again thanks for the links.
