colmat Posted March 15, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2022 Hi, normally sail on Royal and used to them having regular sales on dining packages e.t.c. very excited now to be booked to go on beyond in July. Do celebrity have sales from time to time or do the prices normally stay the same?
LadyBerard Posted March 15, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2022 From what I've seen, the prices stay the same.
Wineaux007 Posted March 15, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2022 Yes they do. Look for them around U.S. Holidays. The next one is Memorial Day, 30 May. Don't know when your sailing is in July, but they also have 4th of July sales. If you book now, you can always cancel and book a newer, lower price. Don’t know if this will apply to Beyond though. You can check by going into your reservation and then Cruise Planner.

We cannot cancel and rebook without losing the deposit (outside of the Cruise with Confidence). We also can’t take advantage of sales around US holidays. The T&C are different for guests who are not from North America unless they use a US based TA (we do).
Mangrove Snapper Posted March 15, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 15, 2022 Yes, they have sales. For our upcoming sailing many of the excursions are 5-15% off right now, for example.
jelayne Posted March 15, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 15, 2022 Frequently sales are for excursions or photo packages. Discounts on dining packages not as often. The dining packages are already at a discount compared to the full price and the Internet I price in the Cruise Planner is 10% lower than purchasing on board. Just wondering if this is strictly a Celebrity policy that they can get away with in the UK or is it a govt policy? If a Celebrity policy, that is so ridiculous. sandancer Posted March 15, 2022 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2022 Can’t blame Celebrity this time. It applies to almost all travel here. There have been a lot of temporary changes to t&c’s during the pandemic but under normal circumstances the deposits are always non-refundable and that’s why it’s essential to take out good travel insurance. At one time we were not allowed to use a US travel agency. We were once cruising with a large group of American friends and one of the very well known cruise agencies were on board and a lot of our group booked a cruise with them but we were refused as we live in the UK. Thankfully that has changed and for several years we have booked most of our cruises with our excellent agent in Orlando. The exception being Cunard and P&O. Some will say that the fluctuating exchange makes it a bit of a gamble but we inevitably pay less, and get OBC. My advice to anyone is to make a direct comparison, getting a quote from agencies on both sides of the pond and go with the best deal.
