My first story from the trip is more of a "celebrity" angle. Capt. Sandy from Below Deck Mediterranean was onboard for her first cruise ever.

So everyone was asking about cabin balconies. I toured showcase suites yesterday. Let me post a series of photos from the tour.

Sky Suite. This Sky suite is at the back of the ship so not the same layout as other ones. But you can see the balcony tables.

So Fine Cut has been expanded with seats added. They took out the outdoor area since no one was using it. They added some tables for two right overlooking the Martini Bar and while these are cute, they will be loud. I ate there last night in the middle of the restaurant and no issues with noise. Ask for a table near the windows and you would hear very little. 

I had the kale salad: a bone-in filet and NY strawberry cheesecake. You'll roll out - portions are huge.

Entertainment: I've seen two shows in the main theater, Elements and Arte. Both use the new high tech screens. Does it feel more upscale? The Arte show was more flashy and entertaining, for sure. All shows are the same Celebrity mix of singing, dancing, gymnastics and acrobatics.

Eden has also experienced a reboot. The Decadence show was very entertaining and high energy. Yes, if you were in the front, the entertainers would talk to you. But it wasn't as intrusive as it was when it debuted on Edge. Think Berlin cabaret. 

 

The room was packed and I was bit freaked - no one is wearing masks and it was a large crowd for me. But hopefully you can get a sense from these photos. 

 

I am eating in Eden tonight. apparently the menu has changed - will report back.

The new version of the Sunset Bar is simply gorgeous. So much more space and a lovely Moroccan feel. There is also a new menu of small bites. 

 

Yesterday was a rare warm day in the English Channel and people were enjoying.

We shall be in a sunset verandah on deck 12. Is this particular cabin on deck 12 and if so, do you know which cabin number it is?

The AquaSuite photo does have the post we were talking about.

it does not appear as though the tables are changed, and it does not appear as though there are lounge chairs. Unless the lounge chairs are not in picture but are at third window on the right.

I think in solstice Aqua, not suite, the chairs have an ottoman type of leg rest..

but the lounge chairs are on suite aft balconies. Suite aft were priced out at couple hundred more  pp for cruise so probably worth it if you do not mind the possibility of more movement at rough seas.

it also appears internet was good enough to post a ton of pictures as well as a few videos.

 

excellent work.

 

First impression about entertainment is it is a bit overwhelming and have seats further back to rake it all in.

Thanks for this excellent review and pictures.  The suites are nice but as in other E-Class ships the balconies are narrow.  Except the Sunset sky suite aft.

Thanks for the great pictures of the suites and many venues on the ship! Is there any way you can get pictures of the Magic Carpet Suites? I'd love to see the balconies on those. Thanks again for the great picture tour!

So far, I’m sticking with Silhouette and her fabulous balconies with useable furniture, unless it’s a port intensive cruise. The Sunset Bar looks lovely. Not sure how I feel about the fee for small bites though. Would hate to go back to feeling nickel-and-dimed. Thanks so much for your informative posts Chris!

Agree on the fee for small bits...being nickel and dimed is why I no longer cruise NCL.

thanks for all the nice photos.

I just watched a you tube drone video of the ship leaving port today April25th for 1 night or day media.  the site was Solent Ship and the drone got some nice photos.

 

Oh and I used to live in Bucks county and now in Berks.  Going on Symphony of the Seas this coming weekend.  Will sail on Beyond next spring 2023
