Boarding started a little late as there were a few passengers that had not disembarked and they could not find them.

There always seems to be a few of those. I was luggage tag 27, and was off about 0915…the longest wait was waiting for daughter to pickup, with the traffic. Was home at 1045.

Have fun everyone!

If the ArriveCAN has to be done 72 hours before arrival to Canada, I wonder how they handle this if the stop is at Victoria the day before getting back to Seattle.  Will they be giving people internet to complete it?   And what about those without phones?  (I have heard there are some of those out there)

I am getting hot here waiting for our cruise, John.  Show me some cold pictures. 😀

I haven't done it yet but started a dummy application using todays date as embarkation on the ArriveCan app on a burner phone I have.  You can do the application 72 hours before embarkation and then go on to list the day of arrival for whatever date you actually arrive in Victoria, in my case that is day 6 of the cruise. I stopped at that screen because the next one was my passport info I don't want to scan and start putting that data in until I have to.

From the time we entered the terminal it took 46 minutes to set foot on board.  We started in at 11am.  Seemed longer than normal.  At the first door you showed your Covid test.  Then you waited in line for awhile.

And past these signs. 😆

Before going upstairs they check your boarding pass and passport.

Once you go upstairs you will go through security scanners.  Empty your pockets, watches and belt and place them in your carry-on.

After your scan they send you again show a boarding pass.  We had ours linked so Sharon showed all 4.  Then we walked up the ramp..... and showed them again.   Probably hard to sneak on. 😆

If you are like me a dress warm, don't over do it for boarding.   Best advice I got was layers.  Once you step on board it was very warm.  After boarding we went to Royal Theater to do the final muster drill step.  The hardest part was finding our way to the theater.   We are usually on Oasis class and only have done Quantum class once.  Once there it took less than 2 minutes.

Next we went to 270.  There we got everyone's traditional.

After a few bites I got a Reuben.  It is good.

Absolutely my favorite way to start every cruise!  Kummelweck sandwiches are the best.

Doing a great review John. Bon Voyage and have an awesome time. Have we gotten a Kraken Colada yet?

You might remember when I tried to take a pic holding a Miami Vice in a hot tub.  Much easier while settling into a lounge chair.

My 1st and only live review was on Symphony back in October. Being a first live was challenging but my CC friends got me through It.  Visiting familiar ports made it a bit easier.  This is our 1st trip to Alaska.  There is much to do at the ports.  Maybe some others cruising this week will pitch in.

Were you able to get a reservation for the North Star and/or RipCord by ifly? Any of the paid dining options available for embarkation day? Hope you have a great time! 🙂

As of now I am not seeing options to reserve NS or RCord.  When I say your post we walked to North Srar but Noone was there.

We normally do several Specialty Restaurants but not this time.  The app shows being able to reserve if connected to ship wifi but it is usually easier to go to a restaurant and make reservations. I have not seen anyone yet trying to sell dining plans like they were on other cruises

At 4pm they announced 200 had not completed the muster drill.  A couple minutes ago they announced 108.  They said they will close it down at 4:30 (now) and those that did not complete will not sail.  We might be delayed a bit.

We had our Juneau Whale watching excursion canceled.  They said it was canceled because they can not find enough workers.  It's not totally bad.  We will be refunded and we booked a shorter whale watch and able to use our OBC.
