If you've been granted a royal up, how close to departure where you?

Recommended Posts

I apologize if this has been asked before. I couldn't find anything this specific regarding royal up. I booked about 8 days ago,. I leave this Sunday. A couple days ago, I received the offer to submit bids, so I submitted 5 royal up bids on 5 different cabin types. I don't expect anything, but I admit, I am hopeful. You never know, right? So question is, if you were granted the upgrade, when were you notified? Wondering if there's still hope for me. It says "pending" on all my bids. Thanks in advance. 🙂

Do a title filtered search for either Royal up or Royalup, this question comes up weekly and there are at least that many threads on it.

Hello,

At 7.00 on the morning of departure my bids on Anthem still showed as Pending so I cancelled them. I did not want to go on a luggage hunt.

I asked on board when one could realistically find out when an upgrade was successful and was told  not until two hours after departure.

Regards,

Cublet

I don't recall anyone reporting that - the denial email comes around that time.

Same thing.  I have never heard of anyone getting a Royal up after boarding the ship.  On one of my cruises there were a lot of people in the FB group not unpacking until they got that rejection letter later in the evening.
