Exactly.

Lower your offerings to the customer until they look elsewhere for where to spend their cruise dollars.

Exactly what our next 2 cruises will be for us.

Branched out once to try NCL but found it almost identical to Carnival experiencewise, but Carnival's ports are more convienent for our location.

But if the experience has fallen below other lines, then we may have to reevaluate how much the convienence of the ports outweighs the cruising experience onboard. (Charleston and Jacksonville are superclose for us for weekend cruises, but we already have to travel to Port Canaveral or Tampa for longer cruises and everybody else cruises out of those too)

Clearly reading alot of responses on this board, Carnival has not yet hit some minimum threshold for many of you. They can just keep cutting amenities and experiences until they finally hit one that crosses a line.

Is there a line though? Or is it like the old wives tale of slowly heating water to boil a frog alive?

I probably wouldn’t even bother with the brunch. I like to spend my daytime hours out in the sun and there’s plenty of good food to be found by the pool. Blue Iguana has an awesome breakfast burrito & ya can’t go wrong with a Guy’s burger & fries   I actually like Carnival’s pizzas as well so I certainly won’t starve. Honestly….  If it’s nice out, I probably wouldn’t even remember to try & cash in on that drink & from what I can tell, I think my sailing’s gonna be full.  😎🛳🍹

I run for the shade and I am all about the fillet mignon. Different strokes.

Guest BasicSailor

I had the thought of sewing all ours together to make a door mat, Worse thing possible people would trip up if it rolled up around their ankles 😉.

Perhaps a doggie door mat, you could let it could snap around them without getting any spots on your carpet.😁

Check out the thread on yesterday's announced room service changes.  For some, that may be the straw the broke the camel's back.

Actually I find the sea day brunch to be one of the best meals on the ship.  DH loves the steak and eggs, or salmon eggs Benedict, I always get the bagels and lox.  You can wear shorts, so it’s no hassle to dress for it.

I totally agree! I love the steak & omelets for me, and eggs Benedict for Mrs. Joe817. And the fact that it's a sea day, means we can sleep in, take our time getting ready, and head to the MDR. I wish the offered it every day!

  • 3 weeks later...

OK just got back Monday from our Sunshine cruise.

Platinum was a total $h!t show.

The QR code in the cabin wouldn't scan to let you know where and what you're platinum gifts and benefits were.

Went down to Guest Services and the guy just handed me a handout from pre-pandemic days which was zero help.

So we wandered to Pixels and got our Pins and the NEW platinum gift.

We have yet to figure out ***** it is....LOL...

It is a 9 inch by 3 1/2 inch piece of like mousepad material. (If it was square I'd think mousepad.)

Has a cartoony picture of a beach with Carnival VIFB club written on it.

DW thought it was maybe a wristpad for your computer, but it's too short.

I don't know what you are supposed to do with this thing.

The Koozie may have been junk, but at least you knew what it was. (At least I could have given the Koozies to someone)

Did remember a couple days in to stop by the casino and collect our $25 cash each. (at least that was still going)

The current platinum gift is a "slap bracelet" koozie. I know it's nothing special but I always use a tumbler and these koozies work great with them.

Get it while it lasts, wouldn't be surprised if they change the program soon and do away with it altogether.

Thank you for that.

Was driving me crazy ***** you were supposed to do with this hunk of neoprene.

Maybe I can use it on the exposed pipes of my water heater outside this winter. (both weeks)
