I did some reading on CC and the X website (https://www.celebritycruises.com/blog/concierge-class-embarkation-lunch)  and indeed Concierge, Zenith and b2b passengers can attend the Concierge Lunch plus visiting travel agents and entertainers among others. It's in the MDR with seating from 11:30 - 1pm but with a very limited menu   I am not so excited about it anymore.  I think I'll stick with my plan to go to the Spa Cafe to keep it lite because I have Murano booked for all three first nights.  I am looking forward to Zach's TLC (he is the best).

Your photos of Greenland were stunning. The ones of the island reminded me of remote parts of the Scottish Highlands. Looking forward to the photos of Prins Christian Sund.

Very surprised the ruins were no roped off in Greenland.   Hope the passengers were respectful.

Same here. We know so many people in our lives who have contracted Covid in recent days/weeks, including people we know are being very careful, people who are vaxed and boosted, people who have had it before ... it seems it's hitting everyone. To be honest, until now, I've been very comfortable cruising this past year because of the protective measures being taken and reduced passenger capacity, but I'm more than a little apprehensive about this upcoming trip. Which is too bad, because we're really been looking forward to it. At least we don't have to fly, so that removes one big source of exposure. Sorry, didn't mean to ramble about this.

Thank you again for your posts. I'm loving following along, and it is definitely helping keep me excited about our cruise on the Summit.

Update.  Today while cruising through the fjords the pesky flies were in abundance on the aft Theater area but not to be seen if forward or above pool

You will have to post Ginny Rorby to the  list.    Just chatted with her at lunch and started her Latest Novel -  Like Dust, I Rise. 

 

Little House on the Prairie meets Four Winds and the Great Circle in this Coming of Age novel of hope and heroism, set in Texas during one of America’s worst natural disasters—the Dust Bowl

 

She is so interesting to talk to -  She gave me a touch of the story line without ruining the reading.

I was also surprised.   I'll see what I can find.    I also noticed their was no enforcement.    It was funny that the Captain also made the announcement when most of the passengers had already gone ashore.  

 

No word on B2B day.   They are still prepping letters to be tested and hoping not to have to deliver them.     They said we would definitely know at the B2B meeting when the decision is made.

 

Really enjoying following along on your Live post.   

 

We still have not set foot in the Theater but been enjoying the Beyond the Podium from our room.   They have them on the Movie section of tv.   They have all of the in case you missed one.

Mary -  Thanks for the research.    WE also usually keep it light and often eat at either Luminae or Spa Cafe.    I love the Spa Cafe -  a nice hidden gem, especially on embarkation day.

They were very respectful.   We were told that we could not go in and all respected the request.    There was no type of barrier at the door at all.

8/15/2022 - Prins Christian Sund (Cruising the Fjords)

 

Wow... when I first pulled open the drapes we were greeted by a beautiful waterfall just outside our windows. We were in a very narrow passage.

Cecilla the best bartender from Retreat

 

while she always wears a mask she posed outside.   I had not seen her face until now.  Her personality is captured perfectly 

 

Never seen so many staff out clicking photos.

Due to cold weather they stacked most of the deck chairs so guests could see the scenery without climbing over chairs.

I can understand your comfort level.    I'm still very comfortable and unfortunately every time we get a slight scratchy throat or sniffle we think oh NO!!!!

 

Maybe the surge in cases will eventually cause heard immunity and bring an end.   Unfortunately I think it will be more like the Flu and we will just have to learn to live with it.

The views were amazing and I think everyone has used up all the storage on their phones.  Transit was about 5 hours.

Thee Helipad was open to all guests. Retreat had a social time with Hot Chocolate and drinks of choice.   Well attended.

Thanks! My DW found the replays the other day. She really likes Mike West’s lectures. But sometimes we get there late because of eating breakfast. I know, who knew he would start without us! 😂

 

But as soon as they load up the ones we missed, she’s watching them 😁

It's really nice that they provide the entertainment for those that stay out of the theaters.

 

Today was incredible.   So much to see.   Can't wait to be back to see the passage again on the return.
