eMed - right after midnight?

Recommended Posts

Yes, we tested at 12:15 am...at home...no problems.

* Ours was 2 days before boarding the Voyager out of Copenhagen. Tested early Friday morning just after midnight, and boarded Sunday.

No.  Has to be no more than 2 days before, not 3 days.  You could do it tomorrow night at 12:01am (officially Friday) for a Sunday cruise.

I thought it was 3 days now. Has this changed again?

What does the protocols that take effect September 4 have to do with someone sailing Sunday.

Two days prior.

Our instructions from Royal for our cruise as vaccinated we can test 3 days before sailing

Whoever told you that is looking at the policies that will go into effect September 4th. However, it seems they've removed the current policies from the website.

Just looked at Royal's website.  Instructions for vaccinated on cruises 6 or more days says tests within 3 days.  The policy change on September 5th is no testing for cruises less than 10 days.  It also is in my instructions on the app on my phone

Emed uses UTC time.

Yes.  Which is funny when it's cdt here!  As long as it shows tomorrow's date we're fine.  Done this 3 times, 2x from home with Florida sailings and once in our hotel in Amsterdam in May to fly home. Used emed tests each time.  No problems.

If you read the portion I posted from website it says for cruises On or before Sept 4th can test 3 days prior to boarding.

I will test tomorrow for my sailing on Oasis leaving Sunday 8.28

I also received an email from royal confirming this.

I can’t imagine how anybody could be confused, LOL.

It was nice to test today for Sunday cruise, though not having to test at all will be nicer still.

Agree.  Tested shortly after midnight,  went to bed, and now can start our trip.
