It’s Nutella/chocolate filled sweet bread.
The canapés is a nice gesture, but it’s not a perfect combo….

I think many goes untouched in return.

We asked for a fruit plate and a cheese and cracker plate each day.  This way no surprises.

Cali-

did you get any decent cheese? We have seen only provolone, pepper jack and Swiss.

No Brie, no Blue—not even any cheddar!

We were in a Sky Suite.  We had some Brie and some gouda too.  The first night they gave me saltines,  I told them no saltines and then we got Carr's crackers.  They threw some raisins and a few dates, one day there were 5 cashews.

Ah—we are only Aqua-lol.
We got, strangely, potato salad with our canapés. And left over crispy bread from Blu.

We are looking forward to disembarking and having better food during our week in Kona.

So off we go Lyft to Pearl Harbor.

It says very clear no bags, no umbrella, no , no, no………

We took on rain jackets and stuffed all necessary in my pocket☺️

We had our time to the memorial at 15.00

So Mr decided that we would visit USS Missouri before our tour. Mr was in the navy

It’s a huge ship and plenty to explore.

I know my dad would really enjoy to visit Pearl Harbor. He was working in the Norwegian army when I grew up. So he was out and about for 250days every year….. So it’s special to be here.

On return to the ship, it was o coffee time🥰 Lucky me, it’s lemon tart today🍋🍋

So a cappuccino and a lemon tart can help me in the process of packing😋

I must admit…. In one way I’m ready to stay onboard and sail further🤩 they have amazing stops coming up🤩🤩🤩.

On the other hand, due to the tiny problem covid🦠 I’m stressed of this….

And it takes a little bit away the pleasure when I’m to stressful.

The positive now is that we will have some days to see what Oahu has to offer AND we are flying to Kauai for some days there😎 So it’s more to come🤩🥳🥰

(But believe me, when the correct itinerary is available for Pacific islands, we will be sailing…..)

Today’s canapés was Mr favourite box😅😉 lucky him😋

We packed up the suitcase’s and took a tour to the jacuzzi🥰 one last dip🙃 We were alone😎

Tonight’s show must go on😂 but not for us😝

We returned down to shower and change for dinner🙃 So soon it will be the last dinner for this cruise

I do hope this means you will keep us updated on your stay in Oahu 🏝️ and Kauai 🏄‍♂️.

I have really enjoyed you, the Mr 👫, and your quirky sense of humour😊.

Cheers, h  & 🍺

Last dinner is eaten and we are in bed…..

Tonight’s menu set is one of the ‘preferred’ sets.

We had:

Starters: seafood crepes, carpaccio and Waldorf salad

Main: schnitzel and meat loaf

Dessert: grand mariner sufflé and cherries jubilee.

The starters were good and mains were good. For dessert they had sufflé as a special tonight. The sufflé is always a winner🥰 but also cherries jubilee🥰

Desserts were excellent🥰

A good last dinner♥️

We have had a good nights sleep and the last breakfast onboard for now.

We went for fruit plate, eggs Benedict and porched egg, salmon and bagel in mdr😋

Coffee was picked up in Al Bacio at our excellent crew🥰

The line to get off is long🤪🤪🤪

So we are waiting in a comfortable chair. I will not stand the entire deck 4 in line…..It’s not okay distance vice and I lined up to much already in Vancouver boarding x2😝 (they asked for face masks due to higher number then preferred… well then don’t squeeze everyone in a narrow stuffed line🤯🥵😳😓

They called to many tags and it went crazy🤪🤪🤪

I wish all b2b continuing onward to Australia/NZ a great sailing🤩🥰 Safe travels and best of luck to keeping everyone healthy♥️

It’s a fabulous list of ports of call🤩

We would really liked to sailed further on, but that must be another time🙃

After the worst line calmed down. We went off Bye for now, until next time♥️

Lyft arrived after 4.mins waiting and took us to Alohilani Waikiki Beach. We dropped off our bags and took a look around before we went down to the beach.

The resort looks great, infinity pool, aquarium in the foyer.

We were warm greeted and told that room was not ready. But feel free to enjoy everything until we text you and if you need towels or something for the beach, feel free to barrow from our rental place. 3 pieces is free pr day. Unlimited towels.

We have longboard club access in our room.

I am going to miss your daily posts and pictures. As others have mentioned, I hope you continue with comments about your Hawaiian stay. We loved the two visits we made to the Hawaiian Islands many years ago.  Thank you for sharing your adventures!

So, we have spent the day on the beach. Waikiki beach is great🏖  Lovely to take a dip in the ocean and just get some sun.

At 13.00 Mr was sent off to get a ice cream and some cold beverage😌 guess what???

A cold beer from ABC store arrived and a box of Haagen Daaz ice cream😂😂😂

Just got to love it🥰🤣

Around 14.00 we were “finished” being bbq grilled🔥☀️🔥. So we hopefully returned to Alohilani and asked if our room was ready😇 YES, we could get our keys and shower😁

So we have a lovely room on 18-floor. It’s a partial ocean view/diamond head room and we have access to LongBoard club.

Size of the room is okay and it has everything we need. Good size balcony in the shade and a big bed.

After returning from the beach we needed to shower off and unpack what we need for the next days.

Mr was a bit tired of the sun, so he had a little power nap when I worked a bit.

Around 17.30 we decided it was time to check out LongBoard club.

They serve breakfast from 6-10 and afternoon snack 16-20.

Afternoon snacks:

They have a free bar in afternoon snacks hours. 2 types of local beer, 14 types of red/white wine. 1 sparkling.

Buffet is a daily soup, salad, cheese, charcuterie plate, spring rolls, chef’s daily made-to-order selection. Today’s choice was ravioli, white or red sauce. Zucchini, mushroom and squash.

Dessert was 3 different cakes.

Coffee, soft drinks and tea.

So really a great selection for a full meal.

The club has a private deck and indoors lounge.

Outdoor deck has sofas, dining tables, cabanas and gas fireplaces.

So tonight’s menu is dinner here😂😂

(The el-cheapo account controller like this;)

We only paid 20$ extra when I booked, so that was a great deal😊

If breakfast is in the same range, it’s really good value-for-money.

Tonight’s plans are nothing. We need a little “dead” time tonight.

Tomorrow we are going on a tour.

We will be picked up around 07.30.

We are doing north shore beach bus tour.

So it will be a full day of fun🙃 (we hope;)

Breakfast at LongBoard Club was good. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, quinoa pudding, acacia bowls, croissants, Danish, muffins, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, bread to toast, jam, coffee, tea, juices and fried vegetables.

So plenty for a good breakfast before going on a tour or beach😎 It’s from 06.00-10.00.

Our tour had pick-up at 07.26. Our guide and bus arrived 07.25🙃 We travel on North Shore Beach Bus. Tour was 250,48$ for us. It was 20$ pr guest saving when I booked it online directly by them.

According to their website it’s 30% sightseeing and 70% beach tour. Waimea beach looks beautiful🤩Perfect🏖

Score on ta is good. So it’s a great way to spend our day and see more of Oahu.

We started the tour to the blowhole. It’s very fascinating how the water make’s it’s way and form.

We had a little stop before , we continued to a nut farm.

Here it was restrooms and the most expensive pineapple we ever seen😱🫣 7$ for a “boat” of pineapple😵💫 That’s around 1/4 of a pineapple. Hello????

On the way it was given out 2 barcodes to scan. Entrance fee for botanical garden 23.48$ pr guest and kayak/paddle boards on another stop 29$ for 1h. (The Scandinavian el-cheapo started to get a little “rash”)

It’s was a macadamia nut shopping stop. You could taste all types they sold and they had local coffee for tasting. On the way to the nut farm, it started to rain.

Next stop was the chinaman hat. Beautiful view but a bit cloudy and drizzle in the air.

Guide called in our lunch order, so when we arrived on our lunch stop, food would be ready. We stopped at Fumis. They have shrimps. We had salt & pepper and spicy. They were excellent and good. (Reminded me of Thailand;) Lunch was 16$ each.

They guide checked and pushed on it’s very important to book botanical garden fee. The Waimea beach was no option😳

After lunch we were driving onward to Waimea Botanical Garden. (Here’s we’re the account department was getting a bit unhappy) the Waimea beach is beautiful🏖😎🤩 Really all we wanted. It’s a very bitter taste that it’s “option” when it’s really not a choice.

Wel well…. Waimea botanical gardens is nice, lots of trees and flowers. The waterfall sounds great😁

It’s a 30.min hike each way from the entrance. We needed to sign a waiver that we now about risk of this activity.

I can say, the hike is nice, very accessible. But compared to Maui waterfalls and big island, we were not very pleased.

You must wear a life jacket to be aloud into the water and it’s really not spectacular. As the good swimmers we are, my “rash” against us waivers and “safety first” had a 🔥🔥🔥 strength😝

There was no bathing for us😝 we just 🤪🥵😑

We had 1.45h in the botanical garden.

Next stop was Haleiwa. That was the next qr-code. Only 29.99$ pr person for sup or kayak 1h.

If you didn’t want to take part of this. You could walk into town from the rental shop or cross the road to use the canoeing club’s beach access. Not a beautiful beach like Waimea…..

Mr took a half dip in the ocean and I was just a bit frustrated😝

Next stop was Dole pineapple farm🍍🍍🍍

Yes, your reading correct. I’m visiting a pineapple farm🍍😅😆 All tour seems to have this as a “must” so just to jump into it😝

Full of people and a shopping mall of pineapple merchandise😝 We had a 30.min stop. So no Maze or train ride.

Dole was final stop before returning to our hotel. I was really ready just to get back. Free bar and a snack was more tempting🤣🤣🤣🤣

Not a perfect tour day in my opinion. Not what the plan says when we booked.

No water or anything.

On the tours by X we have had water bottles, chips or cookies, fruit. This has been in all activities we have participated in from Alaska to Hawaii.

I will not recommend this tour, value-for-money feeling is 🥵😬🫠

Waiver and safety. Some words from a Scandinavian🇳🇴

Home in the Nordic we don’t sign waivers for this or that if your attending a activity.

For us it’s all rational that if you participate in an activity, theirs always a risk that you can be injured or something unexpected can happen. It’s your responsibility to decide if you are fit for it or if it’s best to stay away of the activities. If in doubt, ask someone.

We don’t do lawsuits or anything like in the us. We understand that if you follow instructions as given and do what you being told. You will in 99.9% be fine. And if you attend a paid activity or sports. They must have a insurance to cover if they have failed their job.

——-

We are safely back in our hotel😅 Went straight to the lounge🙃 Mr wanted a beer and I said let’s go. I hear wine calling for me😂😂
