barriechris Posted October 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2022 This might be moved but wasn't sure of the proper location. Specifically looking at Canadians but wondering what items people use for motion sickness. We've used Bonine for all past cruises and normally pick it up before the cruise in the states as you can't get it in Canada and have had good success. We fly in late the night before the cruise and am not sure if we will have anywhere to get them in Miami. Not sure if Miami International sells it or if the shops would be open around 10:30pm. Any suggestions would be great.
silvercrikhix Posted October 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2022 24 Hour stores in Miami. Been there done that. Hopefully one is near your hotel. You could always pick it up in the am before boarding.

ObstructedView2 Posted October 6, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2022 (edited) Hi @barriechris🙂 I use prescription Meclizine. And over the counter Bonine. There's a CVS Pharmacy close to the cruise terminal. Located @: 200 Biscayne Blvd. Miami, FL. 33132 Phone # (786) - 838-0316 Open 24 hours Also there are many other pharmacies & stores close by, such as Walgreens & other stores. Simply search Google: Pharmacies Near Miami Cruise Port ✌ Edited October 6, 2022 by ObstructedView2
Out of Iowa Posted October 6, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2022 Look for the same medication (25 mg) in a "generic" bottle of 100 tablets (around $7) or 200 tables ($10) at WalMart or other pharmacies. Rx behind-the-ear patches, ginger, green apples, wrist bands, etc. don't work for me. The medicine in Bonine works great. Be sure to take a dose the morning of your cruise, before boarding. [I had the injection from the doctor onboard during a TransAtlantic crossing decades ago....it knocks you out for a day or more. Thankfully, far better options exist today.]

Colorado Cruzer Posted October 6, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 6, 2022 bonine. take 2 days before the cruise and every day of the cruise. You should be able to buy online so you have it before you go.

Rare mom says Posted October 7, 2022 #9 Share Posted October 7, 2022 There will be plenty of places to buy your Meclizine before you board. Go to Google maps and search for pharmacies close to your hotel. Or just ask at the hotel front desk when you check in. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
