What is the date of your cruise?? Would love to know before mine (12/8/22-12/18/22)

June 13, 2023.Long time away but I think 2* $100 is a tie breaker for us going Std versus Plus. I just made the booking, so my curiosity peaked.

I understood it to be fact already due to one or more guests asking a PCL rep or CVP concerning their booking.

What do you think the fact to be? BTW it is unusual for you to give an ambiguous response 🙂

I too have read that it is just general OBC, but would also like to hear confirmation on how it worked in real life!  We have a $200 for next year on a cruise where I would typically not book Princess excursions.

Same for us, I thought previously there was a comment about it being for excursions.

Final thought, here is what Princess says in 'Offer Details' No mention of using it for Excursion only.

†$100 Shore Excursion credit per guest will be applied as an onboard credit. Offer is applicable to all guests (up to 4) in a stateroom. Guests with single occupancy will receive double the per guest credit amount. Shore Excursion credit may be used on a single voyage only, is not redeemable for cash, cannot be used in the casino, expires at the end of that voyage and is not applicable during the land portion of cruisetours. Shore Excursion credit is based on the ship’s onboard currency.

True, it doesn’t state it must be used for Excursion only, but then why call it specifically a Shore Excursion credit. Why not call it extra OBC or general purpose credit instead of being ambiguous and confusing us all. Like most people I would prefer to use it for anything on board.

My TA told me it was regular onboard credit.  But who really knows until someone reports back.

If it is truly only to be used for excursions, I'll go on something that I wouldn't pay to do before.

My next is Jan.  Hopefully there'll be a report before then.

Happy cruising.

Because 90% of cruisers (specifically those not on CC) would book excursions with it as instructed?
